For the Supercar Owners here

That’s what I hear mostly about the older McLarens in general. Probably will start looking at the 488 GTB as an option instead.
The shop that did my tint, does a lot of exotics too. They were saying the fit and finish of McLarens were so bad. (this was in 2023 &-2024 when I was in the shop). They were showing me one they were doing full PPF and tint. Owner drove from dealership to the shop...there were left over bolts and loose wires. No idea where they went.

Not that I am an owner of any of these...but those folks I know that have these say...
Ferraris- special occasion drives...keep long term for appreciation.
Porsche 911's daily drivers and reliable. They used to be money puts in the early 90's

Oh and everyone that owns a 911, that I know, can never not own one...just keep upgrading.

Saw a guy the other day at the beach trying out his sq7 in traffic. Clearly had good throttle response. He might have just been trying to match the tenor of my new black widow "muffler."
Where I live part of my concern about exotics is there's plenty of porsche dealerships that can do service, but no dedicated mclaren or lambo dealerships within a hundred miles. Have been considering a turbos but just hard to get super excited about a 6 cylinder

Looking for some real owner feedback here…

Anyone in here owned a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, McLaren 720 S, or Lamborghini Huracán?

I’m thinking about replacing my Audi R8 V10 Plus and one of these three is at the top of my list.

- Huracán: does it feel basically like an R8 in a different suit, or is it a noticeably different experience?

- 720 S: how’s reliability been in the real world? Any major headaches or mostly overblown?

- GT3 RS: does it feel underpowered compared to the others, and how livable is it as a daily?

Would love to hear from anyone that has driven/owned any or all of the above. I’m open to suggestions on other supercars as well.

Appreciate it 👍
The Huracan is basically your R8. Same chassis, same suspension, everything is identical underneath.
The 720S is a nice, but not for daily. Reliability also is not the best plus the depreciation is high.
GT3 RS, which one? 991 or 992? I had the 992 gt3rs and did almost 20k km in 3 years. Not a single issue and tracked many times. Fantastic car.

Not entirely, still have a Q5 in the family. Those SQ7s are awesome, wish they made something a little larger to compete with the GLS 63 and XM7.

Have you decided on a color for your 27?
I think they are doing a Q9, but maybe I was drunk and dreamed that 🥃 I am not a fan of most of the colors, but even less with all the non matching red. SPITFIRE ORANGE it wil be! Keep having fun on your hunt with your supercar!

I always laugh when I see a bunch of guys hating on McLaren’s calling them unreliable from “what they read on the internet”. Personally I love mine and it has been more reliable than my 911 turbo s ever was. I have a 570s I’ve owned for 3 years / 20k miles with 0 issues. Talk to guys who actually own them. Annual oil changes at $100 a pop (DIY) is all I’ve done. I’m aiming at a 720s in the near future. Fantastic drivers cars! 911s imo get boring quick. If you have the cash go 750!

570S and 650S are the 2 most reliable mclarens.
I had a 765LT before the 992 GT3RS and it was a pain, probably also the fact that in UAE the service center at the time had limited stock of spare parts.
I agree with you that if the OP has the cash he should go 750S

Same here, no exotic dealerships within 4 hours of where I live. However, I’ve seen a few Gallardos being serviced at the Audi dealership, so the Lambo would probably be the most convenient.

991 for sure just from a price point, there are a few of them under 220k. The 992s are into or almost at 400k, and at that price I’d rather have two super cars lol.

A buddy of mine just got a used C8 Z06 for 103k, and I hate to admit that performance to dollar wise, it’s unbeatable.

A Q9 would be great. Do you know when they will start taking orders on the new trucks?

You’re right, most of what I’ve heard about the reliability issues are from YouTube and I know that’s not everyone’s experience. Glad to hear that you’ve had a wonderful history with them. Not really looked at the 750’s, if they are under 250k, I’d be very interested. Other than the 30ish extra HP, any other differences from the 720s that you know?

I know this is AI, but I would ABSOLUTELY be down for this. Retain the V10 and a give me a Manual.
