Everyone,
Whats your Favorite exhaust systems on the TRX?

I have researched borla and corsa systems. Really only looked at these two since they are staples in the exhaust world.

AWE is very popular, and SLPs are a great bang for the buck.

Personally, I run Borla (but started with SLPs) and love it.
Does the borla sound alot better over the SLPs?
Im debating if the upgrade is worth it?
Thanks

Borla and AWE. I have used Borla on most of my rigs over the past two decades including a Borla high-clearance cat back on my Jeep Rubicon...
However, I chose the AWE for my TRX because when I had a chance to listen to both on TRX's the AWE was more stock like until you get on it!
Really cannot go wrong with either!

I definitely think it was worth the upgrade! @DMR just made the transition too. Here's a link to that thread.

Thread 'Slps 1’s or Borla switchfire system' https://www.ram-trx.com/threads/slps-1’s-or-borla-switchfire-system.17250/

@Ducc is right, in my book its worth the change to Borla, however the slp’s for the money is a great value. The Borla is just more refined, tuned and provides the burbles on deceleration, chug at idle and crack at wide open throttle. It’s the complete sound experience with many different pitches and notes through the rpm range. I feel the Slp has a consistent note/sound throughout, and is a good one by the way, but if you’re looking for more, borla (and awe for the matter) are the way to get it.

What is the real world sound difference between SLPs and a straight muffler delete? The SLPs everyone recommends looks to be a straight through pipe anyway.

If I were doing a full exhaust I'd go Corsa or AWE, I prefer Corsa sound but AWE is not bad by any stretch. However, I have an MRT resonator delete waiting in the garage once I get through break in period. So we are going to do that and if they give me any grief next year during inspection, I'll do a full system then.

I’m also really debating what exhaust/ if I want to do any exhaust at all. I think someone was telling me do AWE, as it’s super high quality.

Borla here. Installed about a year ago and zero regrets. Great sound at cold start, nice rumble at warm idle and an awesome bark/crack at high RPM, especially on a 1 to 2 shift. Makes for a great echo off the Home Depot, while pulling away on an early Sat AM !!!

I went with muffler delete today and couldn't be happier with the results. Definitely deeper tone at idle, zero drone at 50 to 80 ( drove in increments of 5 mph up to 80) which was my main concern. WOT Oh yes, Definitely more exhaust tone with no rasp/ popping going through rpm.
My thought initially was to try this b4 making a decision on possible cat back. 150.00 and completely reverse able if need be for same cost. I without a doubt will be keeping the exhaust with the delete. Very Happy

How did you delete the resonators? Obviously you must like the sound. Have you heard any other exhausts
Take note to the hanger. We installed a new hanger on pipes installed in place of mufflers/ resonators
I'm told by shop that the Trx has no true resonators, only mufflers.
Side note, if you live in a subdivision the cold starts are loud. Calms down in 30 seconds to a minute. Outside of that, love the tone and zero drone.

Did you do this yourself or have a shop do it for you? How long did it take either you or the shop? Did you just add in exhaust pipe in place if the resonators/ mufflers?
