Eibach Pro-lift installed

I have the 1.6/1.5 springs and think I’m gonna put 37’s on my methods 😎. Hopefully no rubbing at all!

I had the Eibach Pro-lift springs installed this past week and have had some time to offer a few thoughts. Figured I’d write up a bigger review since theres still limited info on the production setup.

For starters I’ve been on the fence about this change. Have had 13.5” 37’s since day two of owning my TRX and have had zero rubbing at the OEM offset. Looked great as is and really like the soft factory ride.

I’m originally coming from a Gen2 Raptor with Eibach / Deaver +3HD’s which were pretty stiff compared to factory. Very stiff compared to the TRX. Also have experience with Geisers which I also liked a lot but the Eibachs tended to be a little softer for everyday use. Had the Geisers measured 2.7 vs 3 on the front it would have been a tougher choice.

In this case I decided to take the leap with Eibach‘s full Pro-Kit 2.7” front and 1.5” rear with Foutz Panhard bar. 20” Methods with +18 offset. 37” 13.5” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. Best truck tire I’ve ever owned and only reason I went to 20 vs 18” wheels. Very happy I did, pics do not do the setup justice. They’re massive and MT aggressive in person, but have a nice smooth quiet ride in all conditions.

Height measured on flat surface to top of wheel wells (with 37” tires).
Before: 41.5 Front x 42.5 Rear (with 200lb gear in bed), 43” empty other than Retrax Pro
After: 43.25” Front x 43.5“ Rear (with 200lb gear), 43.5” empty other than Retrax (approx within a couple millimeters)

As you can see height change wasn’t as pronounced as you’d think with a 2.7x1.5 combo. I didn’t want anything resembling the ’over-lifted truck’, only looking to level the front and add a little more running room for fireroads out here without messing up the ride quality. And while I have an ADD Bomber bumper with lights it’s not much heavier than stock so should be a negligible difference. One note, while it’s only a couple hundred pounds, was very happy to see it hold the weight. Even Costco runs would give me the Carolina lean stock. Overall height / stance: perfect imo with the Pro-kit

Initial driving impression leaving the install. Feels pretty much the same as factory. Awesome since that was definitely not the case with the Raptors. Hit some railroad tracks and thought was that smoother than factory? Steering feels a little more precise.

Onto the highway and thats when I first thought, okay this is going to work. I can now say with a few hundred mlies under the belt that the highway ride with Eibach is smoother, and a legitimate upgrade from factory. Still has a little float which is a nice thing in this rig, but with a quicker spring response and improved tracking over joints and rough sections. Responds just as well to different modes with Auto and Custom (Baja) as my defaults. Highway: Win goes to Eibach

Street and back roads also feel really good. I’m only a few days in but aside from the added height I have to remind myself there was a change. As expected the Eibachs are a little stiffer / faster, so certain roads feel better than stock at times, other roads I feel the ruts and imperfections more, I think. Stock was so similar it’s tough for me to compare without running back to back. Street: I’ll give this a Tie

Rough back roads and unimproved gravel is very similar to street for me. In Baja the added softness soaks up the terrain as it should. I do feel certain rapid ruts more I think due to the added stiffness, but then the truck settles faster and the overall response feels more planted. Now I’ve only had limited time here at moderate speeds but a couple of the gravel fire and forest roads near me are rutted like you wouldn’t believe this time of year. Still felt very similar to factory and so far no bottoming out loud clunks like I would easily get on the Raptor when maxing out it’s suspension. But again, limited time here so dont use this as any kind of offroad review or expectation, it’s not - Rough Roads: A Tie for now

A few other notes:
Haven’t recalibrated height and not sure I’ll bother. Like it as is.
No warnings or issues even after extending the suspension to max
No issues with any cameras or sensors. All working fine, including front ADD bumper (Bomber install tip, make sure to mark your sensors at 12 o’clock for reinstall and they’ll work like factory)

For my needs, this upgrade was a big win. The silver springs look fantastic with the Bilsteins. The stance is perfect and the front end is an even bigger statement - terrifying is an understatement for the Prius. Love being able to see all the suspension components just walking up. But it‘s also a fairly subtle change overall. Doesn’t have that heavily lifted look that I was concerned could happen. Even the Raptors with lower Springs looked more lifted. Most importantly the ride for me is close to factory and in some cases better.

So many thanks to Eibach for taking their time to get this right. And to Rogue Off-road and Foutz for helping me make the best decision. They are awesome to work with!

Damn near a perfect stance imho, well done 👍🏻

I removed the front spacers. Rub free.
Thanks for the write up. As I understand it, the offset on the stock wheel is +19. The 1.5" spacer (effectively 38 mm) would have put you at -19. The sweet spot for no rub on 37s must be somewhere between those two. I might experiment with a 1" spacer (-6 mm offset). Or I'll wait to see what happens with 916Ghost and his Method wheels. Either way, thanks for letting us know of your experience. Truck looks great!

I’m hoping to have time to give it a try this coming week. While post once I get it done

Dont think you can do a 1” spacer without trimming the studs can you??

Nice write-up. Still on the fence about Eibach vs. GEISER.
I would love to see someone feedback on running upgraded leveling springs and how it would improve the situation if you have a winch.

I currently run Add stealth fighter front and rear bumpers with warn winch upfront. I do feel the stiffness upfront especially if I hit a pot hole or uneven pavement. It's not the same Royce rolls ride anymore and it's Killin me. I would hate to throw away all the goodness that stock bilsten provides to go full aftermarket suspension setup

Thanks Coldfire -

With the weight of the winch upfront I think you’d be fine either way and better off with the taller springs. Keep in mind I did the full PRO lift, not leveling. I like the added height all around for 37’s and clearance.

The only reason I didn’t go with GEISER was that it was slightly taller upfront (3” vs 2.7) and I didn’t have that extra weight you’re carrying on the front bumper. If you’re planning on a lot of off-roading, GEISER is the standard imo. Give them a call, they’re great to talk with and crazy knowledgable on all things about our trucks suspension.

That said, I’ve got about 5K on my Eibachs with a decent amount of offroading here in AZ. It could be in my head but I swear the ride softened even more around the 3k mark. Both from carrying some heavy loads over distance and off-roading. Couldn’t be happier with the ride quality around town and on the highway. Soaks up rough pavement and potholes like they’re nothing. And on smooth pavement when you can find it out here, very much that Rolls Royce ride. At least what I’d image a Rolls is like. Never been in one!

Good luck, think you’ll be happy with the change.

Mine have definitely softened with time.

Amazing truck, I gave GREISER a call and they explained that spring rate is 10 percent higher than stock and it's rated for higher weight. The only thing that got me a bit unsure is the disclaimer in there website which mentioned that the truck can became uneven and they will be held harmless in case this happens.
On the other hand, Eibach they don't have such disclaimer.

Maybe I would go Eibach route and do the pro kit.

So this is probably an unpopular opinion… but I find myself, now six months post Eibach pro lift install, missing the factory rake. 😭

Wish the rear springs matched the lift on the front.

While the truck is in fact pretty level at least based on placing a level on the bed rail while parked on a flat lot… the truck looks nose high.

Curious what others think.

What's the problem with going down to the 1.6" springs? I was going to offer to buy your 2.7" but I think they are red.

😭 therein lies the problem… I’ve got a love/hate relationship with my Powdercoat guy.

Just get your blowtorch out and keep heating until they get low enough.

I’ve installed the rear 1.5 spring but yet to install the 1.6 in the front. Still debating if I should install or sell it. Currently it has a slight rake with the topper on.

For its worth I think the Eibachs are a little softer spring. I’m very happy with the Pro kit. For me it’s the perfect balance of ride quality, added height without being too much, level with a very slight rake. The rake was part of my decision with the Eibachs being almost 1/2 inch shorter up front.

Installed the 2.7” and could not be happier. Much better ride on the highway, consistent with the observations above. Agree that they are jittery for the first 100 miles or so but they have settled down perfectly. No negatives whatsoever.

I just had Eibachs installed yesterday, 1.6 front and 1.5 rears. I cannot believe how much better the truck rides after only 300 miles. I originally just wanted to get the springs to raise the rear because of the extra weight from my 200lb + Pelican case with jack, tools and recovery gear. I was hesitant because of how rough my 2019 Raptor rode with front Eibachs and Deaver +4 in the rear.

These Eibachs are a game changer for our trucks with stock shocks! Not only did I get the truck lifted but the ride quality is even better!
- Less body roll in high speed turns
- Less nose dive under braking
- Almost no bouncing after bumps
- More composed on smaller sharp bumps
- Just overall smoother ride on pavement

The truck seems to work really well with this shock and spring combo. I always thought the truck needed more shock in the front, but these springs bridge the gap between stock and Kings and make a noticeable difference. I'll add pics later, but the truck was level with stock suspension and the added weight and is still level, just taller.
