Dram of the Day

Enjoy! Those store picks are great… they can really vary a lot from selection to selection. I have had a few and currently have one that is amazing. Smells like maple syrup, full of dried fruit flavor. You’d never know it was 114 proof. Weller bourbons are excellent. One of my top 10s is also the 12 year.
I am a huge Weller fan! 12 Year is great, the Antique is so nice and extremely underrated in my opinion. I must agree with you though, store picks are excellent and so very different. This is the 3rd Full Proof SP I’ve had.

Started with Gentleman Jack and asked for advice on this forum a few weeks ago…

Really liking Elijah Craig…

Went out and picked up a few new ones to try….

I haven't seen that Special Release of the single barrel from JD. The regular Single Barrel was better than I expected but it's definitely a party in the mouth and maybe even a few gunshots.

Having a bit of the homemade brandy. First batch and pretty damn tasty. Mostly a bourbon guy, but brandy is much easier to make thru the still (asking for a friend).

However these guys are my fav

@Triscuit....... He will forgive you because you're new to the forum but out of respect for our fearless leader Soulsea, we never, ever mention that we like any form of Blanton's. Personally, I love what you have displayed there and as it turns out, about half of us have the same granite guy but I digress....

The only way people have been banned from this thread was by admitting they enjoyed Blanton's and it turned into "an issue" if you get my drift. Now we all just duck our heads when a bottle is presented and look the other way or we change the subject really quickly if he walks up when we are discussing our favorite Blanton's but he knows..... He always knows.

Why does he have such a hatred for God's golden elixer? Some have speculated but it remains a mystery. ;)

Were you able to get the gold in the US? It was once export only and I was able to buy a case at a time from Europe for about $70 a bottle, but they are supposed to be available in the US now even though I have never found one. SFTB is too hot for me, but a good find.

Had that imported before they offered it in US. Haven’t seen it anywhere for sale here other than online with ridiculous pricing.
