Saw my dealer today. I don’t have a problem, I swear!

Holy crap!! Awesome...Help me find a comp for that 12 y/o whistlepig...you seem....ummm...pretty qualified
Whistlepig is great, but it's a rye. If you are straight up looking for a rye, there are some options, but if it is either rye or bourbon, it might be easier Jackson has some good ones sitting there. EH Taylor is fantastic if you can get it. Weller is another one. Templeton has a 10 year rye out there now that is nice. If you can find Blood Oath No7 that's a win. There are many out there for less than $200. If you can find one of the Michters aged releases, that's great too.

Nice score! I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle of Old Fitz for ages now, and can't seem to get it anywhere, even with a markup. Is that 1792 a cask strength/store pick? I just grabbed a bottle of that, if it is, and I was surprised at how good it is.

Nice kick in this one. Supply chain is killing new stock at my locals, so I grabbed this one this afternoon and tried it this evening for the first time.

I met with my bourbon guy (obviously) and he said the new barrier since the plastic lid dilemma is the lack of adhesive for the labels. So, some have no lids to their bottles, Wild Turkey is now in plastic bottles (?) and many producers have no adhesive to mark their products which means an inconvenience but legal ramifications if they don't mark it properly.

This is a tasty little WP in my work stash. Still, no problem here. ;)
