Dram of the Day

How is this mix master with an ugly pink label and corny metal band so damn smooth? Sugar? It's too smooth maybe. Bought this after we lost Bambi. I can see why he liked it but it is on the sweeter side of my taste.

Will keep this around and occasionally throw one back for Josh (y)

Anything note worthy from these seven scotches that I have in my office bar? Tempted to give the virgin bottles away as gifts and make room for liqueurs that aren't scotch. Will give one a try with expert advice.

Note worthy? Ummmmmm....Yes.

The Aberlour 18 is freakin' fantastic. It's the same profile as your Macallan and Glenfiddich, Glenlivit, etc.

The Balvenie Portwood 21 as also one to savor. I think it was around $250 here locally but just an awesome flavor profile. I'm not a peat drinker or a BandAid licker for that matter so I can't comment on the others.

Where's Caliche? He's the peat moss, camp fire aficionado around here. He has Ardbeg and Lagavulin flowing through his veins. ;)

I might take those two home.....

Thank you Jackson. I will give those a try over Thanksgiving and report back (y)

Been drinking this years release of Sweetens Cove non stop. That shit so damn good so I'm swimming in it while I can still find it.

I was going to ask if this was the most recent offering but the photo shows 2021 Release on the neck of the bottle which I couldn't see with the naked eye. I think American whiskey might contribute to blindness. I swear I didn't have this problem in my early 40s when I was more of a Scotch man. That, or my dad was correct about too much...... Ah, nevermind.

The Balvinie 21 is excellent. Hard to find down here in Florida.

Picked up this new 'entry level' Kentucky Owl release, if you can call $60 entry level.

It's fine, nothing wrong with it, just nothing particularly good about it either especially for the price ... big fat meh from meh.

Yes I am aware that I have a problem.
No I don't plan to do anything about it. :)

Tbh normally I wouldn't have this much whiskey on hand, but because 2020 very few peeps have been around my place to share in the joy, and I can only put down so much by myself.
But is anything open…..
