View attachment 7222Thought I would change it up a little tonight before going back to the grind tomorrow! A couple Gin n Tonics should do it.....although a little heavy on the gin....not much room for club soda! Just a splash, but the tonic syrup is delicious! Cheers all!

I have a complicated relationship with gin. I like the taste of it, and love the way I can have snacks in it with the olives and no one thinks that's weird, so no reaching for snacks for me (side note, a properly seasoned Bloody Mary is essentially a watery shrimp cocktail, fuk your celery, I want six shrimp and a Maine lobster in there) ... but I don't think there's anything that f's me up faster than gin. It's not gradual either, everything is fine and then one sip later it's all over but the wet wipes.

I understand completely! I don't drink gin or vodka with any regularity....but love me a raunchy bloody Mary here and there and I love your reference about a seafood platter on a skewer in one! I'm definitely a whiskey/whisky drinker, but will also suck down a Keystone light at a bonfire!

@soulsea - listen man, I love your collection and I'm an avid single malt drinker, but when it comes to getting effed up in a hurry, and keeping a good lively spirit for hours, you cannot replace Vodka. Grey Goose, either straight, or as a Moscow mule, or with Ginger ale, and I go all night.
On one of my last trips to Asia Pre Covid I spent the night from 8 PM till 5 am bar hoping with some friends and having a grand old time. Can't wait for the world to open again......

No amount of quality stemware can help ... swigs from the bottle as I unsuccessfully search for expired Xanax in the couch pillows.

I like to take the Zen approach and avoid Xanax, remember out with the bad air, in with the good air, and repeat.
