Two others on the forum have ordered from Bud Clary. I was not aware of the gas guzzler tax, maybe a state of Washington thing?

I’m pretty sure the gas guzzler tax is a federal tax that gets billed to the manufacturer and is based on a sliding scale for every vehicle that has lower than 22.5mpg combined.

I only spoke with Neil Heckt from Bud Clary about ordering. He never mentioned anything about a gas guzzler tax. I ended up ordering from Gilroy CDJR in Gilroy CA.

Ordered my TRX last week at MSRP, thanks to the information here in this thread. I'm in Southern California where dealers are tacking on +15K and +25K to purchase (or one as low as +5K). I decided to drive several hours from where I'm at to get MSRP and burn through those first 500 miles on the return trip.

I can't say enough how my local dealers made me feel like they were giving me the middle finger at every conversation. They might have just as well said "Hey this is California, someone will pay our charges whatever they are, go Frack yourself". Huntington Beach Dodge, Buena Park, Tuttle Click, Temecula... they all couldn't have made me feel less like my business was important.

Did not have that experience with Hunter. I appreciate that. I'm weird about demanding good service when spending 90K.

So happy found a good dealership. Glad to see your not putting up with ADM BS.

I also ordered from Bud since all of the dealers in my area wanted ADM or made up some other nonsense for inflated cost

Any other known/recommended dealers in the NJ area? Don't mind traveling. Seems most mentioned here have been MI, WI, TX, CA, etc.

Trying to figure out where to start and save the nonsense games. NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, etc. all easy driving distance.

Nielsen ram in east Hanover is selling them at MSRP but you gotta order one if you don’t mind waiting. I had one on order there but status wasn’t moving and I found a LE in Michigan so I jumped on that one. And Johnson ram in nj also selling them at MSRP.

I appreciate that! I have a very specific configuration I want, and if I'm paying this much, I'd really want it how I want it lol, so I figure I'll have to order. Not quite ready to give up my Raptor yet either, so the wait will work out so I can come to terms with trading in/selling my Raptor haha

I'll dig up those dealers info and send off some emails.

If you go to Nielsen ask for joe Alfano. He’sa good salesman and won’t BS you. I just got impatient and didn’t want to wait longer than I needed to
