Corsa or Borla?

The X pipe makes this brand DOA for me, The whole idea is to eliminate back pressure and the H pipe design by AWE does exactly that, and it gives you some added horsepower at the top end.
Thats just not true. X-pipe is more top end power and H-pipe is more mid range under the curve but usually less on the top end. H-pipe will sound a little deeper and less raspy but less horsepower on the top end. possibly more torque.

I've read the opposite. That an H pipe is weaker on the top end. 🤷‍♂️ In fact, most articles give the nod to the X pipe overall (for what it's worth). It's what led me away from AWE even if it's not noticeable and I'm sure it isn't.
Yep. Spot on. I was led away by the price cause I'm cheap but also h-pipes are known to make less peak power on the high end (dozens of articles on this) and their dyno seemed to cut off on the high rpm range as the top end line was flattening out. Peak gains was under the curve so no real way to know if the 702hp TRX was now a 699hp TRX with gains in the 4500-5000rpm range. Probably picked up some torque on the top end with an h-pipe.

Either way for me, I can have a local exhaust shop weld in an h-pipe for 200 bucks and the resonators for 300 and for $500 have 3 inch piping and an h-pipe and save 1500 bucks for an intake or headers.

Stainless works talked about how the factory exhaust is really the best setup they've ever seen from a factory exhaust. Ripatune has said the same thing. Just my 2 cents but Borla and Corsa are the only ones that offers something that a local exhaust shop can't fab for under 500 bucks. They all sound great regardless in their own way so lots of ways to be happy with the TRX sound.

Its not like we are trying to make a V6 Raptor sound good where an inch of piping placement is the diffrence between a dyson and a hoover vacuum lol.

Tomato / Tomoto, I haven’t done any research on this at all I’m just quoting my installer, his muffler shop has been around since 1974, but it’s all about personal taste, good luck!

Amen brother!

I had their prototype and currently have the first production system. They’ve posted better photos and videos than anything I’ve ever taken lol but I’m happy to take more photos or answer questions. I also have their first TRX catch can installed.
Thanks. I will definitely be interested in their CAI whenever they release it. As far as their exhaust...I am looking for something with a deeper/grumbling tone. I know it is still new, but I am not sure I would like the tone of their truck's exhaust most definitely if it was a sports car. Please feel free to post a video of your setup on this thread. Of course, it is definitely hard to gauge tone accuracy through a computer speaker and/or headphones.

AWE cat back. First video is called start and the second video is normal idle

Speaking of the CAI, they just had my truck in yesterday to remeasure a few things and make some tweaks to the intake design. They said about a month or so to get the prototype built and shipped in, then they’re gonna want my truck back again to install it and check the dyno results.

The plan is for it to both look good and perform well. Forged carbon construction.

Neither in my Opinion. I have Magna Flow and love it. Magna Flow gets no love on this forum
I have the Magnaflow XMOD exhaust as well. I did the extreme delete option. I have other mods, but it is loud AF. It definitely sets my truck apart from others. The good thing is it comes with two other setups if I end up wanting it to be quieter or if the cops tell me it needs to be quieter, lol. The Magnaflow XMOD definitely doesn't sound like other exhaust systems which is a good thing IMO. It's definitely one of the pricer systems, but I like that it gives you options.

Exactly why I haven't moved forward with any other CAI yet. That FC intake on the hellcats has been nice and was assuming they were going to drop one for the TRX. Looking forward to it.

Can you post any sound clips/videos for the forum?
