Compustar System Build Recommendations

I'm new here, and I'm quickly learning a lot about my TRX.

It seems security is a high priority due to the high frequency of thefts on the TRX, so I'm following recommendations to prioritize that investment.

I reached out to a local shop about having a Compustar system installed (no IGLA in the area), and they gave me a suggested build for my TRX that I was hoping I could get some advice on prior to buying and installing.

Here's what they are recommending for the Compustar system build:

Is there anything about this build that could/should be changed? This is the first vehicle I've needed to install a security system on so I'm a bit novice to the subject

I received your inquiry you made on the Author website today. Was going to reach out but been having a shitty day, lost oil pressure at 85mph and couldn’t pull over in time and now my damn 392 is done. Can’t wait to see what the warranty people say

. I will be reaching out to that shop hopefully tomorrow in between vehicles while training this shop in St Louis and my buddy coming to pick this pos up.
As far as security, IGLA before all, compustar is just noise and lights and if installed at a place that is quantity over quality, then you might as well leave your keys on the seat like in Toronto.
But since you are asking
Start it cmx kit
Alarm it kit
4 to 4 pin extension
T13 remote kit (has r5 in it)
Modified cdp1 harness or hardwire it.

Settings are the most important.
Oem fob control of aftermarket alarm OFF!!
Siren mute with fob ON
Unlock all doors one press, up to you
Security ON
Soft disarm, up to you, (disarm one press or 2)
Low battery alert, OFF (annoying)

Any shop installing would know what to do though (hopefully)

Sorry to hear about the 392, that sounds like a tough day for sure.

Regarding the Compustar build, it sounds like the build they proposed is pretty close. I guess I just need to decide if I'd prefer the T13 over the R5, and I have a feeling I'd crack its screen.

Would love to get IGLA if possible!
