Brand new and Broken 23 TRX

No it’s called customer service.

I bought an expensive high margin truck from them. Why not pull a part going to some crap low margin work truck and just set it aside? They essentially did that during the worst of the chip shortage when they concentrated on margin.

I’m sure your viewpoint would change if you were in my shoes.
I have to agree. Several years ago, when I had my Lexus. There was a part that was back-ordered, and they took it out of a Demo model to fix mine....but back then at the worst, it was like ~2 weeks back-ordered.

I had it for 2 weeks. I only drove 400 miles after driving home from Mark Dodge. It’s crazy all the issues these 23s have.

I’m seriously regretting this purchase and @RamCares has not even called me after all this time. Just setup a case and nothing. Allegedly I’m getting a call on 2/14.

I’ve bought 20 some cars in my life and a few boats and never had an experience like this. The only people who seem to care is Mark Dodge (@SoldOrderLegend) but they can’t force Ram to do anything. I will also say the local dealership has been good too.
Ram Cares wont call you back because RAM really DOESNT care! We are ALL just numbers that purchased trucks with hard earned money. Stelantis has already been paid and we are all just too small to worry about.

Right now, its the world we live in and it will likely continue into 2024. Get used to it.

Actually I am in "your" shoes in a certain perspective, but something much more critical than a long lead $500 part on my $100K truck. I have millions of dollars worth of construction delays across many projects, waiting 12-24-36 months for RTU equipment, switchgear and transformers. Especially when ALL the major manufacturers are showing the same long lead times. Then when those pieces arrive they are incomplete or DOA and we wait for parts....1 - 2 -3 - 4 - 5 months.

This gives me a unique perspective.....compared to a few parts for my truck. Right now everyone has to take a deep breath and roll with it. Or take legal action against RAM.
It's unfortunate some people think the world revolves around them. Wish there was more people with your mindset out there and I totally agree.

Dealing with the same issue for parts that are national security related. It’s everywhere.

For sure, the quality of the part when you do get it may or may not be up to standard. Not to mention having to deal with incompetence and attitude many times from the vendor (at least on the retail level) seems to just be par for the course now days. My how things have changed.

You are an arrogant ass. Has nothing to do with the world revolving around (in this case me). This is a consumer product and for most people something needed for daily life. I’d say for 90 percent on here this is a large purchase they use everyday so when a consumer products manufacturer cannot provide a replacement part that was most likely defective from day 1 it’s a problem. It’s not like Ram isn’t making vehicles or the plant is idled. It’s a question of service to their customers versus shitting out another unit at Sterling Heights. Why shouldn’t the manufacturer wait on the part versus the end consumer who paid their hard earned money to purchase something the use daily.

Just because u paid a lot of money doesn't mean stellantis will put you on a private jet and let u hand pick ur new parts at the plant lmaoo. You keep mentioning it's a large purchase but u can pay $5 for the car or 500k it's still on backorder. Dealer is working to fix your issue

You are confusing a consumer product with something else. I suppose I could simply lemon law it but that would seem counterproductive for a part that they have readily available. Being a consumer product there are more stringent guidelines.

I think this is one of FCAs most expensive vehicles in the US, and if they can produce them they should be able to provide parts, especially when the defect isn’t end user driven.

Is this my most expensive vehicle, not be a long shot, but constantly beating the tired drum of COVID and COVID supply issues for poor customer service needs to stop.

You have some issues, Najeem. What happened to camaraderie and solidarity to your fellow Trx owner? He is just like you and me trying to get what he paid for. And that includes basic warranty that came with his purchase. We are paying all those motherfuckers’ salaries buying their shit and it is their job to deliver. That’s how I see it. And you, bud, don’t need to exaggerate on here about some fuckin private jets and shit. It is a goddamn large purchase to me too. I had to put in a lot of days at sea to bank up a buck for it. So hold your tongue before you catch a cold.

Interesting how some TRX buyers thought they were buying a Bugatti V.
Its just a RAM and for service and parts we have to line up with everyone else who is standing in line for parts and service.....from the entry level 1500 work trucks.....to the Limited and Big Horn trucks......

You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. (Tyler Durden)

The dealership is efforting the problem and that is all that can be done. No one will pull a part off a truck on their lot.......No one will pull the part off a truck on the assembly line.........its simply not going to happen.
Arguing about "what should be" or "the cost of the truck" or getting loud and angry on the forum????? Well, that will FIX the problem in a NY second, right?????

Not that my .02 here really matters or any ones does but maybe a little nuance to bring us all on the same page (back to hating EVs and Ford)…

Perhaps whether you paid for the highest or lowest cost vehicle to come off a manufacturing line has a lot less weight to it and knowing whether the manufacturers were acting in the consumers best interest or their own is really of more merit in the conversation (holy run on sentence Batman). In other words, if Stellantis is trying to put out the maximum number of vehicles to maximize their product and profit numbers, knowing that failures will occur and they won’t have the common sense spares needed then fault lies with the manufacturer. If Stellantis has actually been planning their numbers properly but it’s their vendors that are screwing them then I sympathize a little with the idea that this current market is f*cked and we all have to take these things with grain of salt. To be fair I tend to think the latter is more likely this far along in the “shortage of everything World” but recognize that either is possible and perhaps part dependent.

If it was a Bugatti he'd have to wait 3 months for a replacement part if he's lucky lol

Dude, I have a shirt with that wording. I agree with that we are all in the same boat here. Big fish and small fish. But you know, in life, if you don’t demand what you think you deserve to have, you don’t get shit. Not on a forum, with people you will prob never meet for real, no, but at the dealership, calling the owner, calling corporate, making your voice heard. you never know where resources might come from. What matters is trying and taking what belongs to you. i was getting annoyed by how some people have balls (little peanut size) to be rude. Everyone is a big shot when they are typing on their keyboard in their safe space.

To just sit there and wait for someone to bless you with a warranty and service that’s included in your purchase is asinine. It’s baked into the price. They save money by doing the least amount possible.

I think most normal folks expect to be able to drive their 3 week old vehicle and aren’t OK when a major multinational corporation plays the tired COVID supply chain card while they have plenty of parts to build product.

Agreeing with a previous statement this isn’t a Bugatti it’s a mass produced vehicle. You are supposed to have replacement parts readily available for mass produced vehicles.

exactly. Most of the dealership personnel sit on their ass waiting to get yelled at to actually go get something done. You need to put on that boot of justice and go give it up somebody’s ass

Agreed, always take every action within ones power to remedy the situation.
I didnt get where I am in life, taking no for an answer........BUT, I also pick my battles, figure out which mountains to climb and determine which hills I will die on.

By all means, TALK with the Service Manager......TALK with the General Manager and TALK with RAM to see if there is anything that can be done. But after that, the OP is left with two options......wait for the part or wait 30 days and take legal action (aka Lemon Law), if his state allows it.

The hypotheticals of "pull parts from trucks on the lot" or "pull parts off the Sterling assembly line", will simply never happen and are not part of a logical conversation.

My guess is the GM of Mark Dodge got it done but he’s humble and won’t take credit for it. Props to them for helping and not forgetting me after the sale.
Mark Dodge is good people. . .
