Brand new and Broken 23 TRX

Agreed, always take every action within ones power to remedy the situation.
I didnt get where I am in life, taking no for an answer........BUT, I also pick my battles, figure out which mountains to climb and determine which hills I will die on.

By all means, TALK with the Service Manager......TALK with the General Manager and TALK with RAM to see if there is anything that can be done. But after that, the OP is left with two options......wait for the part or wait 30 days and take legal action (aka Lemon Law), if his state allows it.

The hypotheticals of "pull parts from trucks on the lot" or "pull parts off the Sterling assembly line", will simply never happen and are not part of a logical conversation.
Yup, all true. Who knows, there might be a somebody that knows somebody who has access to getting their hands on a part, got to reach out and knock on doors. Like a good Eastern European saying goes, “не имей сто рублей, а имей сто друзей.“ —> having a 100 friends in the right places is better than having a 100 dollars in your pocket. ✌️

Especially when $100 won’t buy eggs and meat anymore.

No it’s called customer service.

I bought an expensive high margin truck from them. Why not pull a part going to some crap low margin work truck and just set it aside? They essentially did that during the worst of the chip shortage when they concentrated on margin.

I’m sure your viewpoint would change if you were in my shoes.
Caterpillar will do this for their machines.. the dealer will order it with some kind of code and they will take it off the line and put in box. I know different scale of price range but they want to keep customers happy.

Right. And that saying is old as dirt. I imagine when someone came up with it a $100 was like a million bucks worth or something. I think they were trying to put a price on friendship

Wow I missed a lot in the couple of days since I got back 😳

Preaching to the choir !!!!!!!!!!!
We are on the carnivore diet, so all we eat is meat, eggs and some cheese! Friggin expensive !

Ditto on the carnivore diet… following Jordan Peterson’s route.
BBBE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife started the lifestyle 9-10 months to heal some of her inflammation / autoimmune issues with great success. Then I started watching the videos too, including Jordan Peterson and Dr. Ken Berry and it all started to make sense. For us, its been a life changer! (y) (y) (y) (y)

I’m doing the joe rogan carnivore month too. That’s funny
Thats awesome!
The wife is on month 9-10, me on month 7-8.
We are never going back to the "standard" American diet. No veggies and keeping total carbs down to 5-10 per day. Never felt better!

TRX = meat eater !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, no shit?! are you doing greens n herbs too? Or strict carnivore?
Pretty strict carnivore with beef, butter, bacon and eggs. I cheat with a few pecans from time to time.
No veggies at all, they have oxalates that can cause inflammation.

Biggest thing for me, was getting 100% off sugars and carbs due to the inflammation. Dropping 35 pounds and gaining more muscle / strength was a nice side effect too ! I was always that "carb loading" gym rat, but those days are gone.

I’m super happy for you and your better half!!! I’m a fisherman, and inflammation and a carpal tunnel have been with me since early in the career. (What a bitch that is!) Keto worked shirt time, then due to mood swings and lack of energy, I dropped it. Went high protein, high fat, low carbs. Had to really work hard on eliminating processed carbs and simple sugars - I have wicked sweet tooth. Lol but that is the answer for me. There is a debate about veggies, I usually do some, maybe a quarter of my plate. Regardless, Imagine how much stronger and healthier inside and out our nation would become if this was preached to the public and encouraged by the government versus the standard food pyramid created by the big corporations that are shoving glyphosate infused ultra processed bread down everyone’s throat?…sad-sad.
good luck in your culinary journey! 👍🤝

It's known as "just in time" manufacturing. Pulling a part that's scheduled to be installed in a production vehicle would have a trickle down effect that would cause production disruptions. No manufacturer of any product that has critical production metrics would ever pull a part from a production line.

I have to agree. Several years ago, when I had my Lexus. There was a part that was back-ordered, and they took it out of a Demo model to fix mine....but back then at the worst, it was like ~2 weeks back-ordered.
That part was pulled from a vehicle that had already been built. Huge difference between pulling a part from a built vehicle than from the production line. I guarantee that Lexus wouldn't do that today.

To be fair it’s only a problem if the manufacturer either has accounted for spares due to failure or damage or the vendors is providing the quantity promised. Because of DOA component rates manufacturers know they need spares even with just-in-time manufacturing methods.

Its always great to find others who are having success too! Congrats!
It does take some time to dial in and find what works and yes kicking the sugar addition is a bitch! My vice was Mt. Dew and I would argue with my wife "I dont eat much sugar". But after adding up all the carbs and sugar each day......I was eating over 1/2 pound worth of sugar / carbs each day!

Yeah, the "American low fat" diet, that has caused obesity and diabetes to skyrocket? Thanks GOV for yet another failure!

Update for me. Miraculously someone got me the Occupant Restraint Module and I’m back on the road after 14 days.

All seems normal (knock on wood).
SWEET !!!!!!!!!!!!
That is great news and fingers crossed for many trouble free miles !
