Brand-New 2027 RAM TRX — 3 Days Old, 150 Miles, Check Engine Light, Brake System Faults & Multiple Codes

This is the 3rd brand new TRX with issues so quickly!

I’m a longtime RAM/Mopar enthusiast and have owned several RAM/Mopar vehicles over the years. I was extremely excited to take delivery of my brand-new 2027 RAM TRX, but unfortunately that exhilaration turned into frustration and disappointment very quickly.


The truck is only 3 days old with approximately 150 miles on it, and the check-engine light came on along with brake-system related faults and multiple additional codes.

The diagnostic scan showed:

• B15A1-00
• U0069-00
• C05C2-00 — brake booster/brake-system related fault
• U1136-00

Because of the brake-related fault, I was obviously concerned about continuing to drive the truck.


I contacted RAM Customer Care, a case was opened and escalated, and I returned the truck to the dealership as instructed. At this point I’m waiting for RAM to respond and determine how they intend to address this.


For a brand-new TRX with only about 150 miles, this has been extremely disappointing. I’m hoping RAM steps up and provides a satisfactory resolution.


I’ll update this thread as I hear more.

Brother, disappointing to hear this. Stellantis is horrible to deal with. I have a 22 that took 4 years to finally fix two radio issue. Multiple dealer visits. Weeks in the shop. Conflicting causes. It’s finally okay, for now. It should be called Ram Doesn’t Care. These type of vehicles are supposed to have the best engineers, you have to wonder.

Look at the poor 4xE owners whom are basically screwed, no vehicle, back ordered parts. I’m not trading my 22 . I’m going to get my 27 and drive it for a while before I sell it. Vehicles today are like wives, a good one is great, bad one and you’re screwed. Good luck and I hope it’s a quick permanent fix

My early TRX 'maladies' were more akin to the predictabilities of dating a 'Dancer' with a meth addiction. Questioning the long-term possibilities and hesitant to commit for a while -even add a novelty license plate.

When things were good, they were f'ing outstanding, memorable, 'firing on all cylinders'.

When the pendulum swung - inverted behavior included multiple engine misfire codes. The initial 'Rehab' (RAM Dealer) was useless, just a Band-Aid/excuse ridden enabler.

Made me want to try her girlfriend, based on past relationships with a lesser Tweaker... stage name "Raptor 802a/37s".
