Brand-New 2027 RAM TRX — 3 Days Old, 150 Miles, Check Engine Light, Brake System Faults & Multiple Codes

Quick update on my 2027 TRX / Ram case #97990298:

  • Dealership called today.
  • They still do not know why the truck is throwing the codes.
  • Current plan is to clear the codes and see if they duplicate.
  • Dealership has been very helpful, but they are limited without knowing the cause.
  • Called Ram again today.
  • Found out my case was reassigned to another rep.
  • Previous rep is no longer handling it and never contacted me.
  • Cannot reach the newly assigned rep.
  • Still no meaningful response from Ram management.
  • Another supervisor/manager callback has now been promised.
  • Previous promised callbacks have not happened.
  • I had the truck for less than 72 hours. It’s been back in the dealership possession for longer than I owned it.

Truck still has 174 miles on it.

I have made it clear that I do not want to enter an ongoing repair cycle on a brand-new vehicle while nobody can explain what caused the faults. I cannot explain the level of frustration and total lack of confidence I feel. This happened in the first three days what happens in three weeks or three months

I’ll update again if/when Ram management actually responds.

Translation:
The dealership has not looked at your truck yet.
In the next 2-3 days they will clear all the codes and have their tech drive it to see if they come back.
The dealership does not know the cause, because they have not assigned a tech to work on it.
RAM cannot "make" the dealership move faster on the diag or repairs.
RAM corporate is not in control of the dealership.
RAM and the dealership could care less about being told "you dont want an ongoing repair cycle on a brand new truck". They only care about what their warranty contract with you says, which is "During the warranty period they will make a good faith effort to repair your vehicle". As issues arise, they will address them in a timeline that fits with the dealerships protocols. Your only recourse is a Lemon Law buyback, if / when you situation meets all the requirements.

LOL told him what to do to avoid this but no. So, he will just have to suffer.

I thought those were supposed to be built an Saltillo. That was one thing that enthused me about them.
Will have the same electronics and can bus as the newer models with all the issues.

which is basically to assume this will be an ongoing issue so document and write letters, keep everything logged and be prepared to use if needed...and hopefully it was a big waste of time and you throw away the paperwork because your truck is back to normal...but if not lemon law will be a little easier with all the documentation.

True, but assembled better, which couldn't hurt.
Its actually not. Even the 21-24 trx was assembled like it was a hangover monday. Missing or loose screws, bolts, missing clips ect. See it all the time
