I am on the stock Terrority ATs with 36k miles. The road noise is now unbearable even though it looks like there is lots of tread left on the indicators.

I'm leaning towards the Falken Wildpeak T4Ws, but all the discussions on here seem to have only been had on the AT3Ws and KO2s.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the AT4Ws?

Update: Figured out how to do a poll!

I have AT KO3s right now, about 10% worn and very quiet and a good tire.
When I switch to 20's, it will be either GY Ultraterrains or Toyo Open Country AT3s .

I have KO3's stock size. Very impressed with them during this North East winter snow/sleet/ice and very quiet/smooth on the highway. I've had KO2, Falken AT3W, AT4W, MT Baja Boss ATs, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and Cooper At3 over the last 5 years on my trucks (trx and tundra). The MT Baja Boss AT's are my favorite but these KO3's are not far behind at all.

Currently running the ATW4. The tire is very impressive all around, especially wet and off-road. Snow handling is exceptional in powder, just okay if it is icy, but no worse than other ATs in icy conditions. They are on the heavier side, but haven't noticed any major MPG difference. Was getting 9ish mpg before and still getting 9ish.

You might notice a larger MPG drop if you put them on something with a higher average or a smaller engine that had to work harder to turn them maybe.

Overall, this is my second set of Falkens and have zero complaints.

Anything but BFGs...

Mickey thompson baja boss are amazing
The MTs and AT4Ws basically weight the same. Adding about 21 lbs per tire.
I DO NOT want to create a feeling of sluggish at take off. I can live with losing MPG -LOL
Did you experience anything like that?

I think some of your weights are off, the stock Goodyear is 62 lbs. Weight was a big concern of mine as well. I got the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs (73 lbs) in 35/12.5/18 and am glad to report the weight is not noticeable. I have stock non bead lock rims and those are 12 lbs lighter than bead lock rims. So my wheel/tire set up is 1 pound lighter than someone with bead locks and stock Goodyears.

You're right! 65lbs !

Opinions on tires are like butt holes, we all have them. The trick is finding the right option for your butt hole.

Wait- that came out wrong…

Anyway, of the tires you listed I picked the K03’s. When I was picking the right option for my butt hole, I mean tire, I went a different direction.

Running the Falken AT3W for years. Switched to the AT4Ws when they came out. Honestly don’t notice much difference but that said I LOVE these tires. Wet, winter, dry all awesome performance

I swapped to the Toyo's on day 1 of getting my truck. They were ok. Extremely loud at 15-20k. I put the Goodyear OEM's on at 20k and have been running them ever since. I am extremely happy with their performance on this truck, in all conditions.

I've had good luck with the recon grapplers, in size 325/60/20 per the spec sheets, they are 3 lbs lighter than the Toyo's in the same size, so if weight matters to you they may be a good option. Very quiet on highway, and they do well in the twisty mountain roads. My offroading is mostly just unpaved fire roads, but they do well on that.

I have 48k on a set of Recon Grapplers and they still have plenty of tread.

There are lots of reports about ride, grip and noise of all these tires when new, but I'm curious to hear how they fare long term. Like OP, my factory tires with 34k miles are unbearably loud despite having quite a bit of tread left. I'd not buy them again for this reason.

What's going to maintain quiet over their life?

My factory tires seem quite a bit louder year two with only 12k miles on them. Have actually debated if it’s differential noise versus tires? If it’s tires I can’t imagine how they’ll be come years 3-4.

I’m no expert on AT tires so not a fair judge, but what I’ve noticed on my personal truck.

Does road salt dry out the tires and make them louder? Stupid question. Winter is awful here this year

I have 10k miles on my at4w now and its time for the 2nd tire rotation. They haven't gotten any louder than when new. Show no signs of cupping on corners or anything.

I took a closer look at my tires and saw that I had some pretty bad cupping.
As I understand it, the Falkens have staggered shoulder blocks at tire edges to prevent this type of wear pattern.

This is what my Territories look like now:
