I went with the Falken's!
Rides like a dream - making me fall in love with my truck all over again. Just in time for Valentine's day - wait should I say that out loud?

Does it feel any slower or sluggish to you after the falcons? Answer quick before everyone piles on about the blue color lol (which I love btw)

A small bit of sluggish -at take off only- but willing to live with it for the way the ride feels now
Frequent passengers have complimented the ride feel change
Would never go back to the OE tires

For the guys that have switched from OEM tires... Did you also buy a 5th to swap the spare or do you just use the OEM as a spare till you can replace the tire?

Reason I am asking is even though the oem and Falken wildpeak AT4W are close in size I don't think they are exact. That could mess with the awd system correct? Seeing if I should just order 5 or if the stock 35 would work in a jam till I can get a new tire.

Thanks!

Should be easy enough to look up the revs/mile and find out how close they are in actual use.

As I recall, my Toyos are within 1% of the OE Goodyears.

Ah good point. Yes on tire rack it says rev per mile falkens 605 and oem 604 so yea I guess the stock tire could still work as a spare and then just replace the flat with another falken. Thanks!

I’m rolling the factory spare right now. When I replace this set of tires, I’ll buy 5 new tires.

I feel like i'm due for tires myself. Might just go with OE.

Just ordered a set of the Falken Wildpeak AT4W from 797 performance. Looking forward to it. Yes they are slightly heavier than OEM but they have better performance in dry/wet/ and they are snowflake severe snow rated as well. Being that my truck is a daily driver and i'm not out there drag racing everything I think it's a better choice for me.

Ordered a set of OEM Wranglers yesterday. After a year on the MT Baja Boss ATs and chasing balancing issues at various speeds, I'm just going back to the lighter OEMs. Truck seemed sluggish from a stop as well with normal driving with the MT as well. 11lbs per corner is very noticeable.

I made sure to install at a shop that uses a 'road force balancing' machine.
Learned this when I bought tires at the BMW dealership and they swore they were balanced and made me think I was crazy. Ended up at discount tire where the road force balancing machine had a print out that indicated the tires were out of round and could not be balanced. It took that to get BMW to replace the tires they sold me.

That's a good start, but there's more to it.

First, the machine must be calibrated correctly to be able to produce good results. Then the operator has to be aware of what the balancer is saying and act accordingly.

Last but absolutely not the least: The Smart Weight function MUST be turned off to achieve perfect balance.

Yeah this place specializes in offroad and 4wd vehicles. They use Hunter road force machines. I even took it to a different place with the same results.

The same shop also remounted my factory tires to my Vossen wheels without issue. Those were smooth as glass at all speeds. The MT not so much. They've also done previous vehicles for me without issue.

Had my MT Baja Boss tires swapped out for a new set of OEM Goodyears on Saturday. I'm back to a smooth ride at all speeds and the truck feels much lighter from dig.

I realize this is for AT, but has anyone gone to street tires and doesn't want to go back?
