Best Tires in 2026?

I just crossed 36k on my original tires and have been going back and forth on either the MTs or sticking with OEM. My truck barely fits in the garage with the rambar so I have to stick with the 35s.

From reading the other forum posts it looks like majority of owners switch from OEM. But looking at this poll it doesn’t seem to be the case. Does anyone regret not switching from OEM?

My OEMs got way too loud around the 34k mile mark and they had some noticeable feathering. I replaced them with Mickey Thompsons but they are noticeably heavier and have some balancing issues. There’s always a noticeable pulsation around 70-80 mph, but they have phenomenal traction on wet roads.

My OEM’s were really loud at 36,000 miles when I replaced them as well. Honestly at 30,000 miles they were starting to sing. I know the General Grabber A/Tx is low on the vote list, but man I love them! They have been great in snow, ice, rainy days, and quiet on the highway. I would guess they perform similar to the BFG KO2’s and K03’s in mud, but I don’t see a lot of that where I’m from.

I’m down in South Florida so I can sacrifice a bit of the elements traction for aesthetics. But leaning more towards OEM. Local dealer has buy 2 get 2 for $2.

I'd check the date codes for a deal like that.

Or, they charge 100% more than most to be able to take 50% off.
I bought my General Grabber’s through the dealer when they did their Buy 3 get the 4th for $1.00

I figured it offset the cost of mounting and balancing along with a front end alignment.

My factory tires seem quite a bit louder year two with only 12k miles on them. Have actually debated if it’s differential noise versus tires? If it’s tires I can’t imagine how they’ll be come years 3-4.

I’m no expert on AT tires so not a fair judge, but what I’ve noticed on my personal truck.

Does road salt dry out the tires and make them louder? Stupid question. Winter is awful here this year
My engine is so load I don't hear the tires at all when my windows are up or down. LOL

Ordered a set of OEM Wranglers yesterday. After a year on the MT Baja Boss ATs and chasing balancing issues at various speeds, I'm just going back to the lighter OEMs. Truck seemed sluggish from a stop as well with normal driving with the MT as well. 11lbs per corner is very noticeable.
I had multiple problems with my MT's as well. Mostly balancing issues. Yea they are heavy and effect my gas milage and are a bit sluggish at take off but they are great in the Rain, Snow and Sand, Way better then the stock OEM's but the balancing issue is a problem. I don't notice any road noise but they are brand new.

I loved the OEM's, they were great but not in the snow and rain. Especially the rain. They were ok on the sand and light but the Mickey Thompson AT's are awesome in the rain! and snow and sand. The sacrifice is that they are hard to balance correctly and they put an extra toll on your gas milage. other than that, I love them.
