yeah the germans and usa manufactures use a heavy grade of steel over asians thats why unless they are babied 10 year old asian cars are ding monsters, ask anybody who takes dings out of cars with a lot of Asian cars they can’t take the things out because the sheet-metal is so thin if they try to take the thing out the paint comes off walk up to a Subaru and put your finger on the front fender and push on it then walk up to say a mustang put your finger on the front fender and push on it you’ll see what I’m talking about or go to the top of the door on an Asian SUV then go to the top of a door on a jeep grand Cherokee and push and see which one moves more that’s because of the gauge of the metal

yeah because it’s the manufactures policy the dealer gets reimbursed the manufacturer can’t cut dealers allocations of the F with customers and they complain even porsche price protects, GM sent dealers on this including selling over sticker, The dealer gets invoiced at the price you ordered the car at the whole reason this policy exists is so people don’t walk away from their cars when they come in after ordering them
It did with mine. The 'order sheet' was a grand less than the window sticker. The dealer told me to not be surprised if the price goes up a bit before the truck is actually delivered.
I didn't put anything down and was price protected (signed after order but with order date). Don't let your dealer milk you.

Price protection is just locking in the MSRP, invoice, and any rebates (no rebates on a TRX.) If the prices change due to a price increase, which has happened several times this year, you are locked into the pricing when the order was placed. On June 1, a price increase happened. So anyone who had a dealer place an order prior would be locked in to the previous price. Price protection is not up to the dealer, it is clearly stated on the invoice that is issued by Stellantis. If a dealer states you are not price protected for the old price, they either didn't put the order in on time, or they are lying and trying to keep the margin of the price increase to themselves. I put my order in for a 22 back last year and the MSRP is 15k more now than what I paid fully load truck. Hopefully Granger offers 15k off for 23s, but who knows they did 5k off msrp for the 21s

That is a POC, price order confirmation. The invoice is generated after the car reaches a certain status; typically after it has been built. The invoice will list the sold order protected price.
Well, since this post, I got in touch with my sales guy and sent him some more info. He said he'd look into it and have me a call a few days later. Said he spoke to a rep and got the info he needed and that I was going to be price protected on my original POC (~3-4k less).My dealership had/has no clue what price protection is
