So does this mean that no vehicles are moving? Has anyone has received their truck from granger in the last 3 weeks?

I picked mine up at Granger on Feb 11th and drove it back to WA (distance of 1800 smiles). Sorry to hear that everything is so jammed up.

I’d suggest anyone looking to ship their trucks or super antsy as to when it will go from Voltz Mo to granger, go check some of the truckers forums.

They will tell you that winter is their least favorite time to move new vehicles, and what routes are on hold for weather and then what it looks like for truckers making the DC trek.

I was told to wait 6-8 weeks at best for the i80 shipment route. So that means the local n/s routes are weather dependant as well.

We've actually seen a couple transports yesterday and today. So that's a great sign. It was 2 weeks with only getting 2 trucks previous to that.

My window at granger was 1/6 - 1/17. Got it 1/13. Just go into it thinking it will be towards the end. That way you won’t be let down haha.

Ha true and I am. Mine is 3/7 - 3/21. I just have some out out of state travel at the end of mine so I was curious.

Same here. Original dates were 2/7-2/21 ... then 2/16-3/1 ... haven't received new dates yet.

Misery loves company ha. Original delivery window 2/1-2/15. Pushed to 3/4, now 3/14. WS was 1/21. Sitting at Voltz since 1/29.

Are you getting proactive updates on status and delivery windows from Granger, or do you have to request updates every time?

The only proactive update I've received in the 5 1/2 months since ordering was an email when I hit D1.

Same update I got. Both frustrating and understandable. The dealer doesn't have a lot of control over the freight in between. I'm in the same boat though... a lot of logistics to finalize when selling a vehicle and buying a vehicle in another state. Mine is for sale, but I'm both concerned it won't sell fast enough and concerned it will sell faster than the new one arrives and I have to figure out how to get to work and my kiddo to school without a car! Fun times.

No, haha. It's been really hit or miss recently.

Anything but ... they are swamped. When I asked if they had a more definite date so I could plan shipping or flight and coordinate PTO from work if needed, I was told "our finance department will call you when it arrives." I imagine they will be as patient with me when I tell them I will pay for the truck sometime between 3/21 and 4/15.

I wish we could do a better job with this. It's a manual process we have to go in and check between updates, we aren't notified on status. Frankly, I don't really trust what I'm told either. Between trucks going D1, then reverting to D status, then having ESDs pushed back and shipping windows change.


I ordered my brother a Laramie 1500 in June. It showed up 6 days ago. I ordered him the exact same truck in January and it showed up 4 days ago. The first truck was stuck in Kansas city for 3 months without any explanation.

I realize people want to plan, but we've found it best to wait for the truck to show up, then plan on your trip because there is so much inconsistency.

Stuck for 3 months at a rail yard in KC Stellantis should really hold themselves accountable for stuff like that and be transparent as to why trucks get stuck in different stages of the production process for an extended period of time

I'm sure they are busting their ass on deliveries...

I could be way off... but I believe it goes through the following.

1. Truck arrives at dealer
2. Truck goes into service bay
3. Truck's service mode is unlocked and set up for consumer mode.
4. Truck goes through a 2 page vehicle prep checklist - tech goes over everything (potential damage, proper fluids)
5. Truck is cleaned
6. Truck info goes to new car manager to get stock number assigned.
7. Finance department prepares all paperwork
8. Dealer informs buyer and coordinates pickup.


Now if all the stars are aligned at dealer this might take 2-4 hours? But i believe it's feast or famine right now. I assume Granger get 10 trucks 1 day and 0 the next. So there obviously is a delay as they work through customer deliveries.

My thoughts on trucking.
- Shortage of drivers.
- Available drivers don't want to haul cars during this time of year - the second it's on their truck, they're liable for any damage.
-Ram TRX is big and heavy - it can only fit on the top
-towing cars is heavy and burns alot of gas.

seems like a perfect storm? I could be wrong on most of this... just guessing.
