DEAL $9000 off MSRP is back @ Granger Motors

OPINIONS NEEDED!!! Ok so i ordered from granger on 6/16 which means im still in D status while at least 2 other builds same specs as mine from Granger placed after mine have gone D1 so my question is should i order through Koons where they are offering more for my trade than Granger offered me which will offset the deposit i will lose?

I am frustrated too man, I ordered from Granger 06/08, still in D. What is annoying is they won't lock in my trade price,(I have asked several times) and I even bought my Jeep Mojave from them last year.... figure that? It just mounts more frustration on this whole process.

that's interesting they wont lock in your trade, must depend on what your vehicle is. i am trading a tundra and they locked in mine. Koons is locking in trades, they told me that before i told them what i was trading, they initially offered me what Granger did, i asked them to give me more and they said no problem and did it. you might want to enquire with them. based on Zach's post last week i do feel like what is holding me and others up from going D1 is the trailer tow and or trailer steering, i got both

It might not be a bad idea but don’t do it thinking you will get the truck quicker. It’s possible but you also might get the truck from granger first.
I ordered from Koons on 11/9 so we’ll see how it goes.

Well now I'm even more annoyed about not getting my trade locked in, especially being a repeat customer.

He also said order date mattered. In reality what is preventing us from going D1 is 150 plus orders in D and how Ram is allocating builds to its dealers (do not conflate order allocation with build allocation). Granger will continue to get 15 -20 a month. We may get lucky and have our orders picked up and go D1 next month. More likely than not, however, we will not. Price we pay for the big discount.
If that's the case and we don't get picked up next month, or January, and maybe February. Then those of us trading in a vehicle may be screwed. Im not only trading in to them to get some extra money to put down, but also to get the tax credit. They don't collect taxes and they have to be paid at home. Almost $6k for me.....

Yes I did/do. Both actually
interesting, Zach was weighing heavy on those 2 options holding up orders, i still think they are prioritizing post Aug 4th orders ahead of pre Aug order bc that is when the big price hike took effect

I think that is the common link, yes. Although even though price increased, the difference isn’t that much. I haven’t done the exact comparison but what are we talking about? $2000-$3000 price increase for apple to apples? That doesn’t seem enough to make a difference. The dealers have no say in this, it’s all Stellanis and they are so huge that I doubt they give a shit.

Stupid question. I got the trailer tow..(350$) or so. But isn't that just a hitch ? Why would that hold things up? I'm more worried about the panoramic sunroof holding things up as I've heard rumors it does and my guy said please don't order with the roof it might screw things up...

I didn't get the roof and here I sit

I did get the roof and I am picking mine up today.

I know it is easy for me to say since mine is built and ready. Believe me I truly feel bad about getting a truck before so many others that ordered way before me. My opinion is give Zach a chance to make it right. He posted last week I believe that they are working on a way to make things right for the older orders still in D status.

Trailer brake controller as well, which is the item likely holding that package up

I have a secret. . . you can check their website to see what is in or really close to being in. :)

Let me add to the secret... Open up the vehicle detail from their website, it will have a name on it...

Not much he can do. As others have posted, all dealers have the ability to see the estimated build date for ever single one of their orders. Sharing that info would help people make informed decisions.
This is not true. Dealers do NOT have access to this information. Only certain higher level FCA employees have access to it. FCA sales reps, supervisors with RamCares, etc.... And most of the people that have the access to the information will not give it out. They've been directed not to.

I'm sure if Zach had this information he would have no problem sharing it.

From the dealer.
Because their FCA rep choose to tell them that info. Most won't. The dealer does not have access to the info if the rep doesn't give it to them on a case by case basis...

Agreed - that was my post in the other thread linked above. My point was that Stelantis//Ram establish the projected build week up-front but that information isn’t being shared widely with the dealers. I didn’t realize the build week was established so early in the process…

In most cases dealers don’t know until they can see in their system that a truck has gone D1. Due to the lack of communication between Stelantis and the dealership it feels like a lottery when in reality the build week‘s already been established.
