Once a vehicle has a Vin and in C or higher status it is in the plant system with a build week it is scheduled to be built. Of course that could change because of shortages, line issues, etc. But the estimated build week is in the system for C and higher status so they can arrange for parts to be delivered within 2 weeks of the build week when your order hits D1 status.

All reps have access to the system, only certain Stellantis employees have access. That's how they can go in and push changes someone wants to make. I've done this to my order and have looked up hundreds of build weeks for people earlier this year when I had access to the system. Its about 90ish% accurate baring shortages

I can confirm this experience with the first dealer I ordered from. My salesman met with the regional rep and he specifically asked about the schedule for my build. The reply was late Nov/early Dec. The BS was created in mid Nov and I got an email that delivery is expected in the next week or two (early Dec). Seems the information is there just need to sweet talk your rep into giving some details.

The way I understand is the only 22's "in stock" right now are canceled customer orders. Very rare and don't last long unless they are way marked up. Ignition orange is even less likely but who knows. Either way Zack probably won't see your post unless you @ him.

As much as I love road trips, I will be shipping the truck. The PDI checklist doesn't seem to be gaining momentum (knock on wood) , there are still enough reports of problems that has me deferring to shipping (I/C coolant issues seem frequent)

Anyone in particular you talked to for shipping ? Check markkia.com they have a TRX in stock and only 7 min drive from you .

how was the drive. How long did it take you? Where did you stop to sleep?

Drive wasn’t too bad. Wife wanted to do router 66 home which added a few hours. Made it to Armadillo TX first day and stayed at the Holiday Inn. Drove the rest the neat day. Best part was getting past the first 500 miles of slow breakin to drive this beast a bit faster. 1500 miles total.
