Congrats man... Ordered same day as you but still waiting. I hope to get a call soon.

I had a great experience picking my truck up from Granger today!

I flew in to Des Moines and was picked up by Chip who also picked up a couple of Ford buyers. Chip communicated with me on Friday to let me know the plan and then I texted him as soon as the plane landed. It’s about a 25-30 min drive to Granger Motors from the airport. Chip filled us in on some history of the area as he’s a native.

Once at the dealership, Britney met me and took me to my truck to go over features. She helped get my phone paired and ran through the system. She had already set me up in the Ram app so she showed me how to use it also.

I walked around and took some photos of all the TRXs before being called in to speak with Catelyn in finance. I only had a couple of documents to review and sign as I financed through my local credit union. She told me about the deal on the Mopar Factory extended warranties but did not try to push or up sell anything. In and out in maybe 10 mins.

@Zach@Granger , you have a great team working for you and they all had positive things to say about you. Honestly one of the easiest and best experiences I’ve had buying a vehicle. Oh and the striping of the grass next to the lot looked fantastic!

I saw you leaving as I was walking up to pick up mine (I was the homeless looking guy walking through the parking lot, lol)!

Like yours, my experience was excellent with the team. Total time was max 20 minutes and I had keys in hand and ready to hit the road.

To anyone on the fence about doing business with Granger, just pull the trigger. Best dealership experience I’ve ever had and will certainly be doing business with them in the future.

That’s too funny because I haven’t shaved or had a hair cut since I ordered mine on Oct 5th and look pretty homeless myself!

Congrats! I’m loving everything but feeding it.

Mine arrived mid last week and I'm still waiting for finance to contact me. Just when you think you're close, there's another wait.

You guys that have trucks that just arrived, how long was delivery to dealer from window sticker? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the timelines. That's a few weeks longer than I was hoping for.

Mine was about six weeks from sticker until it arrived at dealership.

Haha, a little self sacrifice while waiting.

Same! It’s an absolute monster and I’m enjoying every minute of it.

I have attached the latest order Update PDF.

Also, the site tracker is now live again. I've been told that there will be some errors for the next 10 days or so on the status of vehicles, but it is back.

Ordered 10/5, BS appeared on 3/14, WS appeared on 3/26 (but was dated 3/14), unloaded in KC on 4/1, got the call on 4/28, picked up on 5/5. It was raining, so I couldn’t do a thorough inspection before taking delivery. I asked for an indoor space (not a lift, just somewhere inside that I could look more closely), but was told there wasn’t one. The only issue I noticed at the time is that they threw my WS away (which had my name on it); not a showstopper, but I was disappointed. They have since committed to getting a new one sent to me from RAM, hoping it arrives soon.

During the drive home and stops along the way, I did notice a couple issues:
- The front passenger door slightly rubs against the front fender panel. Maybe the fender is misaligned (it doesn’t line up with the A pillar like the driver’s side).
- The windshield had some black goo on it, which I think was from the wiper blade. It came off with some glass cleaner, but was weird.
- About half (or so) of the fuses weren’t fully seated.
- There is a small amount of rust on the engine block.
- After about 800 miles or so, the surround cameras and rear park sense stopped working. Tried the soft reset with the power/tuning knobs but can’t get them working.

I will be making an appointment with my local dealer, but thought others might benefit from my experience.

I wasn’t ‘wowed’, like some other people have said, but I would characterize this as a good transaction and I would order from Granger again.

Let me start this off by saying I am grateful for Granger offering such amazing deals, and I truly believe their intentions are to deliver the best service possible. With the volume of sales that they complete on a daily basis, it's impossible to prevent all issues that could arise.

I feel like this story could shed some light on why others may be waiting so long in KZT status....

My order went into KZT status in February. My ETA started as 2/23/22 - 3/9/22. I patiently waited and tried not to bother Granger, as I'm sure they are inundated with more pressing issues. I mainly used Ram Chat to get updated ETA's until the tracking system went down. Starting mid April, I started to become concerned that something was wrong and expressed that concern to Granger (via email) and Ram Customer Care. Everyone's response was the same, "Your vehicle is currently in shipping status. We appreciate your patience."

On 4-26-22 I asked Ram Customer Care to escalate the issue, stating that I am concerned the truck's battery has died while it sat in the rail yard and the transporter does not want to mess with a vehicle that won't start. The experience with Ram Customer Care was atrocious, as they were extremely rude and disrespectful. This has no reflection upon Granger, so I cannot fault the dealership for that experience.

On 5-2-22 I emailed Granger asking them to please look into this issue further, as it has been almost 3 months in KZT and Ram Customer Care was of no help. I also explained my concern of a dead battery causing the extensive delay. That theory was quickly dismissed by them, and they attributed the delay to a shortage of truck drivers and high fuel cost (reasonable assumption if had only been 1 month). Granger did offer to email the Ram Area Manager; however, I never received any response.

On 5-10-22 I decided to reach out to Granger for updates from the Area Manager. They apologized and stated there were no updates and that it's just a waiting game. I asked them if it was possible to reach out to the transporter or rail yard to verify if there is an issue with the truck inhibiting it from being transported. They said it was next to impossible for that to be done. So I decided to take measures into my own hands.....

I figured out which rail yard the truck was residing at and was able to contact them. They stated the truck was going to be loaded on a semi on 3-24-22, but the driver couldn't get it started due to a dead battery. So the truck was left in the lot. On 5-5-22, the truck was towed to a nearby CDJR dealership to be "repaired." I contacted that dealership, and they confirmed the truck was still there awaiting a new battery. The next steps (per Stellantis protocol) are to tow the truck back to the rail yard, have it sit there for X amount of time, then have it transported to Granger (provided the battery doesn't die again).

I called Granger to inform them that I found the truck, and it was in fact the battery that was causing the delay. I politely asked them if we could skip the step of taking it back to the rail yard, because I fear this is going to be a repetitive, never-ending cycle. I mentioned numerous options that I thought were feasible and more efficient (cost and time). The person at Granger was very polite and stated they would ask their Area Manager. The Area Manager's response was, "The vehicle was picked up from the rail yard on 5-2-22 and is on its way to Granger now, so there is no need to do anything." The only thing that I could respond with was, "That is a completely inaccurate statement. The truck is sitting at X dealership right now. It is absolutely not on its way to Granger. You are welcome to call the service department at that dealership to verify this information." That was the last contact I had with Granger (earlier today), and they stated they would call X dealership to confirm the truck's location and contact me back. I did not receive a call back.

Although my issue has still not been resolved, I feel like this information could be useful for others. The inefficiencies throughout this entire process are astonishing. I understand that the way the world operates has changed drastically over the last 2 years, but the fact that I was quickly dismissed every time and had to figure this out on my own is quite disappointing. I ask Granger to just please listen a little closer to their customers' concerns and take action. If there is nothing more that can be done at a dealership level, then the next division up needs to take action. So much time and money could be saved by simply implementing an alert system for vehicles that get stuck in a specific status for an extended amount of time.

@BadblueZ shit you went through hell and back and not done. Theres only one truck that's been longer than yours on that damn lot. Id be more worried about damages to the truck tbh. Being towed with a dead battery, being brought back and so on could lead to scratches... All I can say is when I picked up mine, there was another guy picking up. His truck was scratched bad, mine was lightly scratched with a misaligned door and misaligned hood. Make sure you take a good look when you pick it up

Yeah, I probably wasted a lot of my own time, but I wanted to prove these issues can easily be resolved if Ram would put forth even the slightest effort.

My biggest concern is the high probability of damages at this point. I am preparing myself for the worst and will not take delivery of it until everything has been addressed and fixed.

@BadblueZ Really sorry this is happening! I hope the truck gets soon to Granger and it's in good shape.
You're right, they should've listened closely and ACTUALLY been proactive in finding your truck and why has it been there that long. I think it's really just easy to say "Yeah we just have shortage of drivers but your truck will get here soon... eventually". I think it's important they REALLY find out what's going on your truck, and be transparent. Sucks that you had to do some digging on your own.

How did you find out where the truck was? I'm currently in KZT as well and wondering where mine is right now. I SURE HOPE I'm not in the same spot although my WS was issued 4/28 and quickly went KZT.

Has anyone picked up/taken delivery of their truck since the new “QA” process was put in place at Granger? Curious on the difference it has made. I pick mine up Friday. 6 hour drive for me and hoping to have a positive experience.

No blue plastic film stuck to the engine.... there was mud all over under the hood because the track sat 7 weeks at rail and hood being misaligned rain/dust got under. Nothing major other than the hood and the misaligned door they didn't mention and I didn't see til I got home . There were scratches on the rear bumper same place on both sides so I'm 100% is the delivery driver and not them
Hood is badly misaligned, was catching air and visibly flex every time I was going close to a 18 wheeler. Such an easy fix and they didn't bother with all the obvious mud under the hood.not sure if it's the volume or the PDI person. Picked up from Chapman a truck for a relative and the PDI was done better.. That said I gave Granger max on their survey. They saved me lots of $$$ and at the end of the day they are the most honest
