37s

The truck doesn't rub at full lock with 37s. I haven't jumped it, and yes it might rub then. But its very usable with 37s, I ran a one inch lift on the Gen2 raptor with 37s and it wasn't nearly as usable. Cheers!

@cashed37 this might have been asked already and answered by yourself. I am getting 37s on 20s for my truck. Looks like you have kinda taken it off road and maybe run it through grind. Have they at all rubbed while doing any of that? Even jumping a curb or big pothole? Any rubbing that you can see or feel? Just want to make sure that 37s without a lift is good to go. I am not going to lift because I don’t want to ruin the stock suspension system.

Maybe others have 37s and done some craziness with the truck and speak on them working perfectly fine or not?

Thanks guys!!

Power Wagon owners hearing you guys asking if FCA will put 37s on the TRX next year...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

If they do and the PW still has the same size tires as a mid size jeep truck...😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Looks great by the way and also interested if you can stuff them in the fenders when offroad and flexed out.
Had a laugh about the PowerWagon and tires.

I'm also curious to see some more info about the TRX and clearance on 37's when pushing it off-road. Has anyone with 37's had a chance to cycle the suspension in the shop?

I think @CatchMeOffroad has 37s on his and he is all Over the dunes in Michigan. He can probably weigh in if someone knows how to properly tag people here 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would like to see an AEV style kit for the TRX. I did the kit on my 16 power wagon and ran 40's with no rub at full articulation. Granted the front axle was moved forward and the fenders were cut but keeping the center of gravity low made a nice clean look. I should add I also did 488 gears, EBC rotors, PSC hydralic assist, currie radius arms, and a few other things to set it up to handle 40's. The TRX jump to 37's shouldn't require anything more than a speedo adjustment.

Nice! I love AEV rigs. I almost bought a Prospector before the TRX. How’d it do for daily driving/road trips with the 40s?

Great. With the 6.4L and 488 gears i could do 80mph without issue. I wanted an 8ply tire and so went with Geolandar xmt's. There are Prospector XL's for sale near 102k new. The AEV kit was designed for the diesel application. With the power wagon I added Truxxx 1.5" spacers to have it sit close to level. The truck ended up having 1/4" rake. The AEV front bumper was several hundred lbs as well. With the diesel truck application i believe they run 410 gears.

I believe they typically run 433s but since the pandemic they’ve been building them with the stock 373s on the diesels. That’s the main reason I didn’t pull the trigger last summer. Glad I didn’t as the TRX was announced shortly after. I’ll likely also get a Prospector (non XL) at some point as a towing/road trip vehicle. But I’d love to see AEV do something for the TRX!

TRX stock tires are 13 inch wide these 37’s are 12.5 inches so they won’t rub but you will lose traction & have a narrower footprint but you will gain more ground clearance.

Before we half ass a 100k truck I think waiting for a premium lift kit, or premium leveling kit from an aftermarket vendor to fit 37's without loosing any articulation and ride quality is worth the patience.

An AEV winch bumper would be a nice add to the TRX although I love the direction swarf is going with the hidden winch mount.

These tires do have a 3ply sidewall and a 4 ply tread from what I have researched. The actual tire sidewall with have the specs on it.

I found two 8 ply tires in a radial 40x1350x17 inch size all the rest were a 6 ply. The reason for the XMT was to have an 8 ply on the Power Wagon 2500.
The nitto mud grappler and yokohama xmt were both 8 plys.

Read The Sidewalls. The old "ply" rating system went away in the 1950's. Still used but irrelevant. READ the sidewall.
