2025 TRX reveal

The TRX weighs around 6,400lbs. That’s 9.1lbs per HP.

If the RHO weighs 5900lbs and has 500hp, we’re looking at 11.8lbs per HP.

That’s not going to cut it for those of us who own a TRX.
500lbs off the nose will be huge in the desert, and that is what the TRX is built for, isn’t it? It’s not like the Bilstiens and 35” tires are for the drag strip

90% of us don’t go to the dunes (not really an option here in NW Montana). While my truck does go off road, most of its life is spent on pavement. I want the sound and hp from the Hellcat. If I was playing in the dunes I may have kept my Raptor.

I’m sure NW Montana has plenty of fire roads to and ranch roads to rip on. The HP of the hellcat is cool, but the truck is still slow compared to my SuperStock. I bought the TRX for off road use, and I’m guessing I wouldn’t miss the HP compared to the better weight balance. The RHO will most likely be faster off road. Than my TRX.

Geeze, so many bootlickers for the hurricane motor. I bet in real world use the supposed efficiency gain won't be worth the risk of reliability issues. I mean 1 or 2 mpg gain isn't going to save the earth

99% is more like it.

I doubt my TRX will ever see an inch of unpaved road. I don’t give a damn about admitting it.

I’m not sure I can say the same thing.

We Gen1 Raptor guys have already been through this when the Gen2 ecoturds came out. The keyboard commandos will be out in force talking about how the new truck is “superior in every way” to the TRX. I can hear the “too much power” and “it’s more efficient” BS arguments already.
Exactly !!! And Yeah we gen1 guys sure had it rough , I’m still a gen1 mf ! I’m on my 4th now haha , but do love our trx must say !

In my wife’s Wagoneer it absolutely runs circles around our first 392 powered one and that it gets 3-5 MPG better is icing on the cake.

I wish the Grand Wagoneer came with a Hellcat for my wife. It would be the greatest luxury SUV around. But since a I6 is all that’s available, we’re looking at a Navigator instead.

The Hurricane is about 450-500 lbs lighter than the Hellcat so the truck should lose a similar amount of weight
The Raptor weighs 5900 pounds or something like that. So the RHO will have an identical weight as the Raptor?

We drove both and the Wagoneer won out in every aspect the 392 was a very nice vehicle, the HO Hurricane pushes it even higher. I would have kept the 392, but my sales guy gave us a deal we couldn’t pass up. Basically upgraded 2 model years for 2500$ out of pocket and ended up with the HO.

I have no doubt the I6 performs better than the 392. Just like the G2 Raptor performed better then its 6.2L predecessor.

What I’m saying is that since I’m having to settle for 6 cylinders, I’m also looking at other options (likely a 25 Navigator)
