2024 RAM TRX

CYA rather than SOL.
Best line I've heard in a long time.
Glad to have my TRX; year-round fun.
Looks like it could get silly next year. Smoke em if ya got em, boys. Thanks for sharing the video link.

Like the manual transmission hellcat, it just disappeared.

I did similar thinking it was a nice alternative to the Durango (wife likes Jeeps) but I don't want the I6. At least not in a daily driver.
Strange, I built a hellcat and manual was available.

Just my opinion but I'm really glad I got my '21. I walked into the dealer lot and grabbed it right before the pandemic went to shit.

Have put 11k miles since and have not had a single issue, truck has been flawless and looks brand new.

From what I read here '22 units were a crap show between UC5 issues and multiple quality problems from camera quality to leather wearing out and becoming loose.

I had thought of selling it in '23 and buying another one but why bother, spend more and get same options with crappier quality.

Might just like many here get it tuned and make it part of the family for good.

I absolutely love the freaking truck

I don't know that the quality actually got worse... I think it's a crap shoot if you get a Monday or Friday truck or some crap like that. My 21 has been great just like yours. I've thought about ordering another one but she's been good to me and I only have 6K miles on her. Not worth changing for a new screen and some additional little features

Mine has over 40k miles, no issues. I’ve got a new one inbound to a dealership this month. I don’t think I’m taking delivery. Mines been too good. Still debating though.

If I didn't have a '23 ordered I'd be ordering today. I don't know if this guy is right but it wouldn't be worth the risk to wait for me.
I may be right, I may be wrong but I wouldn't wait for Ram to jack the price up even further haha

With Dodge and Ram, you can never be too sure something dumb won't happen

I love my 2021 as well. Just a couple minor warranty items, and just about to turn 16,000 miles on mine. The only option I don’t have but should have ordered was the Heads Up Display. That said, my truck comes out $15,000 more as a 2022 on the current Ram Website configuration. I think I’m good where I’m at.

I had no idea that there will be 2024 TRX? placed my order since I thought its the last year.... Hope I don't regret it.

Look at a 1970 Challenger , the 6 pack and the hemi went away in 1971 but a '70 has the same value. a '67 GTO isn't worth anymore than a '66 even though it was a 2 year body style. the '66 is worth more if it's a tri-power. it goes on and on, last year means nothing unless it's improved in some way. don't expect the 2024 to be much different if any.

All I'm say is don't hold out just because you think the last year means anything from a collector or value standpoint. of course a '24 will be worth a little more just because it's a year newer. but it'll probably cost a lot more too.

And yes I do think there will be a collector market and I think it will be sooner than most think. I wouldn't want to bet on the value but worst case I expect them to hold their value pretty well once production ends. other than the Raptor R there has been nothing like the TRX produced and there never will be again. there will be a market for that.

The Pontiac GTO was manufactured by from 1963 to 1974 for the 1964 to 1974 model years

Yes, I own several. but the most popular years are the 66-67 coke bottle body style and the '67 isn't worth anymore than a '66. my point was " last year " doesn't mean higher value unless there are differences.

All things equal a '69 Mach 1 is worth the same as a '70 too even though the '70 was the last year of the popular body style. same with B bodies, on and on it's the same story. last year means nothing.

I don't expect the TRX to go away, just the blown V8. so if the engine goes away that'll be where desirability ends and the 21-23 will be the years to have. after that they'll be a joke like the 72-74 GTO.

Im curious if they have a 700+ hp combo with the hybrid trans and the 510hp I6 engine.
Or even a 550-600hp engine with hybrid trans adding another 150hp or so.

How many would be interested in a 750hp TRX with an I6TT that can get 20+ mpg in the city?

I don’t think anybody would be enthusiastic about a TT 6-banger in a 6000lb truck regardless of power numbers. That’s why so many ppl here on this forum dumped their raptors for a Rex.

Truth, I gotta admit after test driving the SC'd V8 Hellcat it convinced me to move out of my Power Wagon, I'd have never traded it for a TTV6 truck.

Just look at the Raptor. with a twin 6 it's just yawn, whatever. put in a blown V8 and it hair on fire freak out , please take my money I don't care what it cost. .

I'm sure some girls and alphabet people would buy a 6 banger TRX but they'll just be another pickup to enthusiasts.

I just heard Ram could drop the 5.7 & 6.2 in 2024... Jeep sneakingly is doing the same removing it from the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer lineup
That would be wild. Then it would only be 3 year production '21-'23 of the V8 TRX and I would prefer the OG gauge cluster of '21/'22.
