2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition

Something strange is showing up in the new "Final Edition" build sheets. And I wonder if it means anything different for the engine.

Up to this point, the "Final Edition" test vehicles had simply listed the engine as "6.2L SUPERCHARGED HEMI V8 SRT ENGINE". Same as every other TRX.

But starting with the Production Evaluation Run vehicle that was posted yesterday (and including the first production version posted today), it now lists the engine as "6.2L SUPERCHARGED V8 FINAL EDITION".

Maybe they've got a trick up their sleeve after all.

The "6.2L SUPERCHARGED V8 FINAL EDITION" was on the others (5 total I think) previously posted on here, I thought it was something maybe, but a few lines down they say "6.2L SUPERCHARGED HEMI V8 SRT ENGINE" just like normal. 🤷‍♂️

Gah, you're right. Guess I just happened to scroll to the "final edition" line when I looked this morning, and got all excited.

That would be awesome if they have a trick up their sleeve… hopefully it’s just not a badge on the engine that says final edition?

I still have hope they have a trick up their sleeve but it's feeling pretty desperate at this point.

I have to say, it would be really disappointing if all they did for the "Final Edition" was new paint, special badging/graphics, and interior accents. Based on the build sheets, it looks like that's all there is. The email that they sent out says, "we've gone all out to make sure this impressive monster is worthy of its title: Final Edition." Really?

Is there a different badge on the motors for the final editions? That might be why they're labeled differently.

Don't forget the added MSRP!

NIGHT EDGE BLUE - PCA

Oh you're gonna love this too . . .. I can get you a DIFFERENT truck in NIGHT EDGE BLUE for about $55K if it's really the color you're after 👮‍♀️
Another dealer just old me the code is PBZ? Maybe they tweaked the color like the Lunar edition isn't exactly as dark as Destroyer Grey

That doesn’t sound right off the cuff. That pulls up as Blue Notturna Pearl, and it looks like a dark blue.

Yeah that's why I'm like huh? Then I seen this too and Frostbite doesn't look like the images Ram provide just like how Lunar/Destroyer is slightly different

If Ceramic Gray and Destroyer Gray aren't the same color, how can they both have the PDN paint code?

You'll have different variations of the same color with the same code. I had to get my front bumper on my Granite Hellcat repainted and the body shop had me come in and look at like 8 different variations of the color in 2017. Told me I had to pick which one was the closest color and live with it.

Destroyer, Ceramic, and Sting Grey all share the same code but they aren't the same color when looking at them side by side. One of my buddies has a Lunar TRX and Destroyer Hellcat and can tell the TRX is lighter. Even in this pic, you can tell the Jeep is darker

My correlation was that the Bighorn Built-to-Serve has been released/allocated and lists NIGHT EDGE BLUE on the promotional PDF flyer we got, and in Dealerconnect it shows those builds as NIGHT EDGE BLUE (PCA). That color is otherwise unavailable on any other RAM trucks for orders, so far as I can tell. But is the same as the Frostbite currently available on Durango (you all already figured that part out previously anyway). but like you said it may show up and be slightly different shade not sure how they achieve that, but def agree the shared codes not always identical.

That would definitely be a pain in the ass trying to get a perfect match if you had body work done.

The Jeep in your pic looks like it's under an overhang, so that makes it a little harder to tell. I took this pic of a Gladiator and compared it to a pic I took of my TRX. Both are in direct sunlight and you can see how much lighter my TRX looks. Next time I see a Sting Jeep or Destroyer Challenger, I'm going to pull up next to it and snap a pic, just to eliminate possible light variations.

But were they both taken during daylight savings time or standard time??!?!!

Sorry.... slow news day....

Apparently it won't really matter what color code is used for Night Edge Blue (or Harvest Sunrise, or Delmonico Red). Looks like Ram is just gonna build them all in black. With a couple of granites and silvers. There have been 96 "Final Editions" built so far (as of today), and here are the current results by color.

OMG! If there ever was a hope to get a new color I’m pretty sure this just cements not ever getting one. The admins on them will bring them to level of a expensive home. This is creating an artificial limited supply and give dealers and the manufacture license to jack the prices on them even more.
