2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition

Is it just me or does this look like it comes with the actual bead lock rings vs beauty rings?
Depends what picture you go by

So as TFL pointed out, we/Ram will have nothing to compete with Ford in this space moving forward. Why is Ram getting out of the supertruck game completely while Ford will still have 2 offerings?! Ford finally stepped up (albeit underwhelmingly) and released the Raptor R and Ram's "response" is aight we out. Tune in next year and we may have a 500hp 6-cylinder offering that competes with the v6 raptor?!?!

I don’t think the Raptor R will be around very long and the TRX will be back in 2025 with the Hurricane (same as the standard Raptor). What are you worried about? They are direct competition.

Nahh I’ll pass even if it’s below msrp. Nothing is new with RAM, same crap different smell. Just splash a new color and called a special edition.

10 days at the dealership, 3700 miles still waiting for my TRX to get fixed…

I always see these statements that the top speed is 118mph. I think that is misleading or my truck is an anomaly because the highest mine will reach is 117mph. Does anyone else notice this or have this issue. It is not a huge problem or anything but I do believe manufacturers should be truthful in their advertisements.

How are you measuring the speed? Using the speedometer, or something else (GPS speed, Waze, etc.)? If you've lost even the tiniest fraction of tread on your tires, your top speed will suffer by 1 mph just because of the smaller diameter. Here's some fun math:

Using the spec for our tires (597 revolutions per mile), and running at 118 mph, you're turning 19.5683 revolutions per second.

If you run those same revolutions per second, but your tires are 99% of the original diameter (i.e., you've worn off less than 3/16" of tread), then your top speed will only be 116.8 mph.

No, in the gauge cluster under the performance section it is the last option that displays the top speed and also looking at the speedometer. I tried it the first time on I-10 back in 21 and it never hit 118. I just thought it should be advertised the actual speed that reads out on the gauge cluster. No matter the tire wear that section saves the highest top speed you ever reached in the performance section. Mine has always been 117. Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed this. I has zero tire wear when it was new and it has always been the same. I will upload a photo when I get the chance to go out to the garage.

Like I said... the TRX "As we know it." As far as I'm concerned... a TRX without a Supercharged V8 isn't a TRX regardless to what the badge may say.
Yes the 24 is the last of the beasts as the 25’s are the beasts stuff stuck in its teeth.

How can Ford still push out the 5.0 Coyotes in 2024/2025 when Dodge had to kill both Charger/Challenger? I imagine this would have to do with sales/credits till they get pushed away from V8s but Mustangs sell very well so it must be something else?

Probably because they have more electric vehicles to offset their carbon footprint??

I have hit the gov a hundred plus times. Sometimes it gets to 118, other times 117. If there is a tiny grade incline, it’s usually 117. It should be governed by tire revolutions and not digital display MPH. There’s probably a margin of error with the velocity displayed that comes into play over 100 mph. Big soft tires make for more margin than cars with skinny rubber-band tires.

My first gov hits were all heading home on a slight incline, only hit 117 the first times. Never thought to complain about it.

I see. Do we know for certain how long will 5.0s be pushed out till they get killed as well?
I always gave credit to Dodge and RAM for holding off on the EV boat but Im guessing this will backfire big now.
Lol at the noise machine in the EV Charger

I was thinking night edge blue was like patriot blue shown here, but it appears its just slightly darker than hydro?

I was hoping we would get Patriot Blue. I would’ve traded my Diamond Black for it.

I wonder if Night Edge Blue is the same as Frostbite (PCA). I’d switch for that one too.

That was my thought as well that the pictures released look like Frostbite.

So my dealer told me that these final editions cannot be optioned, basically pick your color and that's it. I realize they come really optioned up with level 2 and all the final edition BS, but what about something like the sunroof? One of the released pics you can see a corner of the sun roof. Anyone have any insight on this topic?

Well I just heard the news of Stellantis put in the last nail on the coffin for the TRX, so I came here to the forum to corroborate, for all of us who have the privilege to own one, today just take a look at your Truck and appreciate how lucky you are to be in the driver seat of this beast; electric or hybrids or what have you, it will be the new norm. My TRX is not my daily driver, and still after 1 1/2 of ownership I like the looks, still impress me and always put a smile on my face,I just had a few cars that have the power to do that.
I'm not surprised about the news, but I was expecting to run till 2026 at least, luckily for us this engine has been on the market for 8 years so parts wouldn't be an issue thinking on the long run, now the price of them are going to the roof and it will continue as time goes by, my goal for my Truck is not to be a collectors item but I want to keep it as long as I can.
