Well I ordered 3/30 and I am still in "D" status. Another guy as well @Mdtrx, he ordered a few days prior to me.

I chose a fairly conservative build, level 2, premium sound, no other options, sold order, thinking it might speed up my delivery, any truth to this madness?

I think you, me and @Mdtrx ordered within a week of each other. Yeah man, this waiting stuff....its terrible. Even when you move from D1 you can figure 8 weeks before you see your truck, if not more. Then pray its dot damaged in transit or something wromg!

There was a guy a couple of years ago that had ordered a Challenger. He got so worked up about the whole thing that many of us thought he'd have a heart attack over it,
All his worrying and complaining didn't make his car appear any faster. It arrived in normal fashion. Unlike a few other orders, which rightfully could have justified his behavior.

Having factory ordered my last two vehicles, and now waiting for my TRX to magically appear at the dealer, I can attest that this is the worst part of the process. Until I remind myself of the dog feces show it is buying a vehicle off the lot at a dealership.

My vin starts with an 8... I don’t see any of those and wonder how long this is going to take.

If you scroll through the registry you'll see that VINs have little or nothing to do with what order vehicles are built in.
So don't worry.

I haven't checked the registry recently, but the one we got a couple of weeks ago starts with a nine.
And as I recall, it was far from the only one.

I ordered on 4/10/21 and had my VIN in 5 days and just went into D1 status yesterday so it can happen quicker.

Granite, level 2, tech group, safety group, bed utility group, red interior accents, HK radio, pano sunroof and trailer tow mirrors.

He also ordered from the largest ram dealer in the US he told me. I think think this is the guy that told me. I am not sure if dealer size has anything to do with this immediate D1 status. But congrats to him!

I don't know what status they are in but there are a few others that have ordered from them also. They are the largest in size but like I said I don't know what their volume is.

I just checked with Ram chat and it appears I’m in D1 - parts are there - sold order on POC - so now impatiently waiting - originally a dealer order placed 02-08-21 now hi-jacked by me 04-19-21

Just got my VIN and it too starts with 8...811790

Ordered 4/24, got VIN 4/28, D status for whatever any of that is worth to anyone.
