1/4 Mile Times 🏁

No, I am unpinned. I used the new crank bolt included in the pulley kit and used a digital torque wrench for the 148 ft-lbs of torque and the 150* angle for the bolt. I feel pretty confident that with a properly torqued new crank bolt and still running the factory upper pulley that I wont have issues. It seems like some people will have crank pulley slipping issues unpinned if they have the incognito lower and then are adding a smaller upper pulley causing more load on the lower.
I have no plans to add any more power because I am wanting to stay with the factory tune.

Here is my quick install and before and after pulley boost numbers.
Awesome, thanks!!!

Getting my lower done this week , how long did you have pulley on ? Day a week ? Before you did run , I have heard it takes a week or so for the trucks computer to adjust fuel for the extra boost ? I have no idea if this is true or not . Nice run by the way .

I drove it for 3-4 days before I went back to the drag strip. I was running 100 octane race fuel also.

You must be young. Your reaction time is easily twice as good as I can do.

I've always focused on leaving right when the green comes on but a guy at the track told me how all that works and said stomp on it when the 3rd amber starts to glow. Intuitively it didn't make sense until I learned how it worked, I came in with an RT of .583 and after focusing on the 3rd amber got it down to 0.141... I'm told that "still sucks" by the rail car guys lol, who by the way are consistently hitting 0.001-0.004 R/Ts.. Next time I'm going to focus on the 2nd amber to see if I can get closer to 0.050.

Finally got some cool weather today so I made another run.... Cool 40f and dry.... AC and TC off, ~2000rpm power braking and in auto mode.... Totally stock so I'm pretty happy with this.

The TRX get's another top performance award.... How many other production performance vehicles can hit their top speed in just over 1/4 mile.... When I make a run I just keep my foot on the floor until I hit the speed limiter. That's only a few mph faster and a second or two longer than what it takes to run the quarter anyway. They really need to fix this!

Get street tires and disable the governor

I'm not worried about the speed rating of the tires and I would disable the governor if someone here (or anywhere for that matter) had what I'd call a "good" solution... I really don't care if it cost a $1000 or more if it didn't mess up my gauges, etc, and could easily (~5 minutes) be added or removed by me.

Might as well add this to fun runs. I noticed this reads .3-.4 faster than the track but actually 2-3 slower mph than the track when comparing slip to the page each pass.

Either you were going down a ~30% grade or you have some mods.

Dang you guys were putting some runs down! I will get the lists updated!
