1/4 Mile Times šŸ

Nice run!
Did you pull the rear bumper? I took the skid plates, spare and tailgate off for my runs last fall. Plan on pulling seats for my next track night. May go for the bumper too now
The bumper stayed on but the receiver assembly it attaches too came off (~70+ lbs). I replaced it with some aluminum brackets that weigh next to nothing to keep the bumper on.

I was going to ask you what brackets were for. For 70 lbs I’ll fab some up.

What slicks do you have and on what rims I’m looking for a second set for the track and run the stock for just daily

Thanks I’ll have to get another set of factory rims from Someone selling
I intend on making it to one more test and tune this month then I will be selling this set if interested. Only used at the track, plenty of tread. Wheels are in great shape too. Paid $3000 for the set with shipping, I'd let them go for $2k, PM me if interested.

Ok I’ll let you know I’m picking up the truck next week from getting more work done I’ll let you know

Can you remove the receiver without messing with the bumper? And is it truly 70 pounds

I wish, but no the bumper attaches directly to it. That was my guess on weight, I did not throw it on the scale.

Just pulled mine off and it is pretty heavy but I also have not weighed it. I made some simple brackets out of 2ā€ angle to mount the bumper.

2k for the slick setup is a good deal. Do you plan to try a different set of wheels/tires? I would like to try something a little taller than these Hoosiers but I’m guessing it would have to be more of a street tire.

Holy Hell!

Let’s put this in perspective. You did the 1/4 in 10.394 at damn near 130mph. Car and driver (see link below) had an impressive run with a 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, and the 1/4 mile in 12.3 seconds at 110mph. You are 2 seconds ahead of car and driver, and damn near 20mph faster. That’s bad ass!

I like to think if it as faster than a 2023 corvette Z06 which Car and Driver ran a 10.5 1/4…
And I can switch Wheels/tires and go hit some ditches or fields or even jump some train tracks if I want to. It is not my daily driver but easily could be. It really is one hell of a truck

Just can't seem to catch a break at my local track.

Drove an hour with a $400 tank of E85R, get setup at the track (another 45 minutes) only to find out the 1/4 timer is broken and they are running 1 lane of 1/8 mile. So I made a few passes, tried launching and lit up all 4 tires. Kept dropping pressure but with all the street cars on street tires peeling up the compound I just couldn't make it happen. Probably the worst track prep I've ever experienced at Heartland Park. Best I could manage was a 6.54 at 107.93. I do feel pretty confident that if I can get it to hook and launch I can graze that 9.99s mark.

Anyone running slicks have any advice on getting more grip? It's not like I can go through the water box and do a smoky burnout (I tried last night anyway and do not recommend it). I drive around the water box and launch to clean off the debris but that's it.

Yeah I’m stuck in the 6.6’s and ran a 10.39. You’ve got me by 5 mph in the 1/8. Similar 60’ times. If I launch too hard it will spin off the line also. I’m interested in a taller tire.

I started doing burnouts this year, they’re not big smoky burnouts but got a few rotations in and I don’t think it made much difference.
I run 24psi in rear and took fronts up to 30 and seemed to help on the top end (in my head anyway).
I marked my wheels and tires and get a little slip, mostly on the rear driver but not sure that justifies buying beadlocks…

A taller tire is what the folks at the track were recommending too. I might have to do some searching around.

Actually my 1/8 was 6.627 @ 104.87mph with a 1.537 60’ during my 10.39 @129.55mph 1/4

I weighed the truck with me in it at 6140lbs

I had an old guy at the track tell me that if you take your
weight x 200 Ć· by your 1/4 et (3x) = hp

6140x200=1,228,000Ć·10.39(3x)=1094.84

Seems like a high number… I had another buddy that’s big in diesels tell me that it’s usually within 5%. Does anyone have any insight on this method or have used it to compare with dyno numbers?

So ran for the first time this week. Sacramento Raceway 92 degree day 3/4 tank of fuel. Won the event best time was a 12.503 at 108 mph full weight and stock

Hi Brandon,
Good run time for stock.
Question, is it confirmed that the 24 is going to have the 6.2 sc engine?

I believe so, just not confirmed if they will be allocated like the last call hellcats.
