Anyone try the S&B filter wrap yet?

Nice. Does it keep the filter noticeably cleaner?
It will help, but prob not super necessary on the s&b. I opted for it more out of habit, since i usually run open element filters.

Hopin it helps after my last dusty run covered every square inch of my engine bay & air box lol

there's a few threads out there on it but basically just install the factory shroud as you normally would, then you'll see where/how much you need to trim to make things flush. If memory serves, it was only 3-4" give or take

Would this help with the S&B intake, Fas lower pulley and that 13 psi boost we been gettin also got exhaust too

What is the rationale for the filter wrap?
It would appear to reduce intake air flow and it would seem the S&B filter should be more than adequate at stopping particulate matter from entering the enginewithout the need of the wrap.

It does restrict flow but thats a worthwhile trade-off when spending the day following multiple trucks in dry/dusty conditions. Paper filters work better in fine dust situations.

I think this pre-filter, as they are called, is intended to keep butterflies and grasshoppers and large debris chunks out of your filter. I don’t think it’s going to do anything for dust. I have one on my truck.

I've got one that I bought with the intent to use when remove the intake lid for more whine. I ended up being content with the intake with the lid on so I never used it. I'd be willing to sell if your interested PM me.

put it on and follow a group down a dusty trail. Then take it off and follow a group down a dusty trail.
