TRX Gas Mileage

Here is 16.9 I honestly don't recall the exact circumstances, but it was a road trip from Tampa to Daytona. I think I'm at 11+- locally. No hills in Fla and no bed cover.

Averaged 12.6 on my drive back from LA to OK. Break in and all. Definitely put the paddle shifters to use after 300 haha. Dallas sucks to drive through.

Took the girlfriend's '21 on a quick oil warm-up drive before changing the oil and was surprised to see what the Lie-O-Meter read.

While she always gets better mileage than I do, I didn't expect this much. It looks like tourist season has an upside, forcing her to drive slower with all the traffic on the road, and few opportunities to pass.

Then you'll have to take my word for that it read 15.7 when I first got in it, but it did.

I don’t know how you managed to get 15, I had a 10.5 hour drive home from Koons. And averaged high 12’s at best
Do you have a bed cover? Also, where I live it’s pretty much flat - California Valley. Drove it to Napa last weekend and avg 13.3

Haven’t got a cover yet. You’re right there. Covers always added about 1 mpg on my previous trucks. Maine has a ton of hills, that probably isn’t helping either. I. Actually pleasantly surprised, that this truck CAN get better mileage, if I try, then my 21 limited that traded which had 22’s with 12.5 wide tires. If I’m easy on her (which is kind of hard and no fun), I’ve seen 13’s too, even with no bed cover.

Drove my TRX today, and I'm not that far behind it turns out. All this tourist traffic keeping the speeds at less than 80 seems to help mileage quite a bit.

I have a feeling the TRX is going to be one thirsty truck. What kinda fuel economy would you expect from the TRX?

10 City - 15 Highway ?

Good thing gas is cheap right now!

here you go, this is what I’m getting. I’ll admit to doing a little bit of road runner in between red lights, but it could get substantially better or worse which ever you think if I really laid into it on a regular basis, welcome to the club!

PS: GAS PRICES IN SAN DIEGO ARE ABOUT $5.50 PER GALLON, PUT THAT IN YOUR EXHAUST PIPE AND FLOOR IT🥴🔫

Wow. $3.549/gal earlier this week in Tennessee. For 93 octane.
5.09 is using GasBuddy to find the best price too. There are some random crap fuel brands that are cheaper but main brands store at least 5.09.

Hey! I beat you. Just saw 9.2 after about 50 miles of freeway time haha. Usually average the same as you.

I've found in the past year of ownership that with meticulous timed engine braking and delicate throttle pressure you could get like something 14-15 MPG on level terrain. But it was absolutely no fun doing that and it reminded me of the MPG debates on the 5th Gen forums that were absolutely sickening lol

I tried that on one trip. Never again.

Or, you can get that much without being delicate and with thousand of feet of elevation differences.
Staying away from stoplights and other city annoyances probably makes the biggest difference.
