Window Tint

Was talking to a tint guy today who said if you overlay Ceramic or even IR on top of the rear window's factory tint/privacy glass, that it won't match the fronts....it'll almost have a polarized versus non-polarized finish/look to it.

Seems like lots of you guys went the ceramic route and I haven't heard any complaints about rear not matching the front "finish" or "look".

Any truth to this claim?
I had no problem. Looks and views great.

For those who have panoroof…maybw consider doing double film. My Gen 2 raptor would let in a ton of heat. Got two layers of film applied, reduced the heat drastically (could of all been in my head lol). Didnt bother to get a panoroof this time around…I didn’t utilize it on the raptor, so couldn’t justify it on the TRX.
I completely agree. The pano roof is just another potential failure mode (especially in AZ heat). It's the only option I don't like on my truck. I did a tint treatment on it and does just fine. But I'll never bother using the pano.

This was going to be my plan also. I have heard that if you don’t do the rear windows too, that since it’s just factory glass smoke that it doesn’t block UV. Not sure tho
True I was in back seat of a Laramie the other day and I could feel the heat on my arm. I’m spoiled from always having tinted windows on all my cars my whole life.
