Anyone who has already got their TRX get the windows tinted? Planning to get 3M Crystalline 20 on rear side glass and 40 on front side glass.

i assume that is an exterior application process. How do you like it and how long does it last? Thanks

It's an interior application and ceramic tint in my opinion are the pest as it blocks 98% uv light from coming into the vehicle! 100% love them! It's almost 3x more expensive than normal tint

Of course it is. Marketing must know we are morons always willing to pay for the next best thing.

Getting mine done at 1100 AM tomorrow. Going with ceramic all around including the panoramic sun roof. Can't do windshield due to state laws. Getting a sun shade for the windshield.

State law is the same here. Not an issue at 50% on the windshield. It blocks so much radiant heat, it is worth the minimal risk!

Thanks! I personally don’t like the beadlocks at all and really like the stock black wheels over what’s out the aftermarket right now. Then I was looking at my TRX emblem on the tailgate and it was crooked so took that off then it kept going around the truck lol

You can do the clear ceramic. Read the state regulation is is clear on what you can use. Several companies make certified material for the windshield.

Window Tint Standards can be found in the Texas Administrative Code, Title 37, Part 1, Rule 21.3.

NOTE: Windows immediately to the right and left of the driver that have less than 25% light transmission will fail inspection, regardless of the model year of the vehicle.

Windshield​

Sunscreening devices can be applied to the windshield if all of the conditions below are met.

1. Sunscreening devices must be applied above the AS-1 line. If there is no AS-1 line, sunscreening devices must end five inches below the top of the windshield.
2. Sunscreening devices may not be red, amber, or blue in color.
3. Sunscreening devices, when measured in combination with the original glass, must have a light transmittance value of 25% or more.
4. Sunscreening devices, when measured in combination with the original glass, must have a luminous reflectance value of 25% or less.
5. A clear (un-tinted) UV film is allowed anywhere on the front windshield without a medical exemption being required."

5% on the side windows. And 5% strip on the windshield.
Went with the ceramic tint. I can tell you it’s dark AF inside. And like a huge tunnel of light through the windshield.

Its crazy how much the ceramic blocks the heat and sun.
