Doesn't matter, having driven my '21 for nearly three years now, I honestly don't think I could ever be happy driving anything else., full stop.....
Yes high rates, but average car prices were around $3500. So that puts your monthly payment at around 88 smacks. Not even close to comparable to today.
Funny, I have had this talk a few times with friends. How yes our income has gone up but the price of goods has far exceeded the rise of income. In 1975 the median annual income was also only $11,800.

2022-income depending on whose stat your looking at ranges from 50’s-70’s.
2022 avg home price 440,000ish
1975 avg home price 38,000ish
1976 avg income 11-13K
So in 1975 your home was roughly 3X your salary.
In 2022 I’ll use the middle number of 60K your home was over 7X your salary.
Agreed on the technology advancements in cars.Apples and Tuesday.
I bought a new 1979 F150 SWB 4x4 when I turned 18 for $7200 . it had a 3 year zero interest financing because it was last year's model and interest rates were about 8%. To compare that to a new TRX or any other new pickup is like comparing the Kitty Hawk to a F-16. no A/C, no power anything except steering and brakes. single cab with an AM radio and bias tires.
Yes things were cheaper. but interest rates were not. people had less and expected less, today if you can't get everything you want fast and cheap it's somebody's fault because you're entitled to it. I get so sick of that bullshit.
You'll make more selling, than trading inI think it will increase just not in time to benefit me when I trade in my 21’ for the 23’ in the next couple weeks.
Very true! You'll make more selling, than trading in
From $106K MSRP to $117K. No thank you, I don't want that junk.Hey fellow TRX owners,
With the announcement of the discontinued Hellcat TRX do you think the value of our TRX's will increase? Also the announcement of the final year 2024 TRX Hellcat and UAW supposedly going on strike is Ram going to be able to fill those orders for 2024? Sad day for the Hellcat but could it be a profitable day for current TRX owners. Just curious of what your thoughts are. I have a dealership close to me that has a New Lunar and a used Ignition Edition, If I could hide both of them from my wife I might just go buy them and sit on them for an investment, probably better than my 401K.....LOL!
Exactly if you keep it with low miles, climate control garage, no aftermarket upgrades, you'll make money on it in few years down the road. Everything else will depreciate , slower than the market but is going to be hard to sell themLike most other desirable enthusiast vehicles, the TRX will continue to hold value. This is especially true of the 2021-22 models which have depreciated, but the higher priced 23-24 MSRP will still see some depreciation over the next couple years. As with any enthusiast vehicles, it will depend on colors, options, condition, and lower mileage. I don't see these increasing in value unless the replacements are utter garbage and the economy strengthens for a couple years.
My TRX stickered at $85,500 and I wouldn’t take a penny less than $100,000 for it. Not sure if that answers your question?Hey fellow TRX owners,

Then dealers are the bad ones with the ADMs lol JK.My TRX stickered at $85,500 and I wouldn’t take a penny less than $100,000 for it. Not sure if that answers your question?
Everything the TRX was meant to have by the designers when it rolled off the line; the more expensive to make Analog dash (for the muscle car purist). No cost cutting corners on missing dash LEDs, Grap handle Stiching, Glovebox lights, LED Door lights, etc. Truck is Sway bar ready (if that's your thing).Like most other desirable enthusiast vehicles, the TRX will continue to hold value. Same here, got mine when they first came out. 83k for it back in 21. Not very many of them back then and base was 70k.Everything the TRX was meant to have by the designers when it rolled off the line; the more expensive to make Analog dash (for the muscle car purist). Not to mention us 21-22 guys have had a couple more years of wide ass smiles...
Oh and and least a couple grand more on the gas card!
But...the icing on the cake, is my 21 is the same damn truck as the 24, and was $20+K cheaper!
So I got more gas money than you!![]()
