What did you do to your TRX today?

What a long day, IGLA installed, Tint on Windows, Windshield, and Panoroof…..
Hopefully your tinter took extra precautions when doing the windshield. Several members here have fried some electronics as the result of windshield tinting and fluids getting behind the dash.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep an extra eye out on that.

I know I know me again. Another day of small things done. I am basically now where I am happy with the truck and how it sits and drives.

1) new bed rail caps to get rid of the holes from the removed ram bar
2) new right hand drivers air vent, the plastic fins were broken on mine when I bought it
2) Fit Cam X dash cam put in today
3) ordered new license plate "TRX21" as I was given P20 WMN which read to me as Pre-20 y/o Woman. I don't know just didn't like it nor how it looked haha oh well it's the little things.
4) Ordered new OEM rear bumper from dealership ($9xx for all parts and brackets etc, not too bad I think, I HATE this aftermarket one I have)
5) Reached out to my guys at National Speed to go "stage 1" in the next few months.
6) Just a throw away but I have been remodeling my master bathroom (do not recommend doing it during the holidays on top of buying a new (used) truck -- anyways was able to get the grout done super late last night -- luckily 3 days work from home allows me to sleep in some. Some spots are eh and I don't like that larger gap top right BUT overall happy with it (my buddy is a plumber and was able to help A LOT during it). Vanity and Toilet will be set Friday and then baseboards and I'm DONE (4 weeks since I started). (had to do a tub as I want to sell and move in 1-2 years on my 2nd bathroom is a shower only)

Okay back to truck things.

Hate making these types of posts but driving home late last night, defrosters on and sure enough the foggy windows came back, could see slight bit of white smoke coming from vents. Coolant reservoir basically empty. Floor mats dry, Framed covered, and when I dabbed with a paper towel, boom coolant. No check engine lights, let it sit and re-filled with coolant, held it all overnight, limped it to the dealership (2.3 miles from my home on 25 mph roads)

Heater Core clogged/blocked was called at 9:30 am today. 12/30/25 dealership installed new coolant reservoir and did a flush. Heater Core on 1 week back-order. Wait and See I guess. (fwiw I did mention when I bought it I had this exact same problem but no coolant loss nor wet carpet and then it went away, everyone said it was probably this issue, so kudos! no prizes though)

Coming from the toyota tundra world where very reliable -- I did have the famous cam tower leak and 3 times squirrels chewed engine wire harnesses so I am not the luckiest when it comes to vehicles. As the saying goes, if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all

Good News -- master bathroom is 90% complete, I have some small paint work and baseboards to do then it's done but toilet, sink, shower are all 100% useable -- small victories.

Edit: if the truck is down until 1/16 like they said that’s 14 days out of 31 days that I’ve owned the truck that I haven’t been able to drive it. Yet to go 1 full week of driving this nor 1 full gas tank without needing to have it at a shop.

Good. Luck. I still have my Sequoia. I know nothing will be that bullet proof anymore. but I still had the "infamous" dreaded secondary air injection issue (Code P2442) and least since the "great invention of the interweb...." I found the bypass "off-road only use kit" and never saw that issue or anything since. Yeah it is only driven off-road too these days

Got the truck back Friday at 4 pm. 1 week later, heater core is fixed (knock on wood) and new rear oem bumper installed (nice of them to throw on a promotional license plate cover too  lol). Luckily the borla exhaust tips don't stick out too far on the oem bumper, I was nervous since the aftermarket bumper protruded out. De-badged the whole truck and will be replacing the 6.2 supercharged with a gloss black version.

Snow/Sleet/Slush out here in NJ this weekend. New K03's stock size on the truck for 2-3 weeks and I must say, they have done really well in this slush this weekend. Very impressed (still think MT Baja Boss AT are king).
