Was Tim Kuniskis drunk?

I didn't say it's not a good DD, because it is. It's just not the type of truck that your average truck buyer is going to purchase.
At over $100,000 for a 2027 you’re not wrong. Back in 2021 a TRX was more reasonable.

Let's be honest here, a fully loaded RHO is $98k, it's not exactly a value proposition.

The brutal truth for nearly everyone on this forum is that we are not going back to a regular 1/2 ton truck ever again, so get used to scoffing at any truck that’s under $100k

Every vehicle the Hurricane engine has been is a sales disaster. That engine on its own led to Stellantis worse sales years across every vehicle the Hurricane was in and you see now why they got rid of Tavares and put the Hemi back in vehicles and now Ram has magically recovered within 6 months of just the 5.7 Hemi back even though the trucks are still way too expensive.

Stellantis thought if they made the RHO the same price as the 2021 TRX when it first came out, they would get a sales boom. They were mistaken and even at the same price point of the 2021 Ram TRX, the RHO sales are nowhere near the TRX and the TRX production numbers were held back by covid shortages and dealer markups. I guarantee you if they made a 65k 392 Hemi V8 RHO, it would easily out sale the Hurricane RHO even with it being slower.

I believe the hurricane engine was designed and implemented mainly because of the damn CAFE standards directed by the US. The hurricane engine with the way they test it i am sure get better gas milage and less emissions than any Hemi. Luckily they didn't do cylinder de activation like Chevy and try to keep the Hemi. Given the competition V6 Raptor it beats it in every way shape in form in my opinion. Now i am sure if you drive the hell out of the HO Hurricane gas milage is shit, but its all about how you drive. Either way i still think his comments were just to keep attention on the RHO for sales. However, screw that i am only here for TRX to HC engine lol.

Even with CAFE, GM and Ford still spent billions on upgrading their V8's while FCA/Stellantis did nothing. Chevy about to be on their Gen VI small block in the 2027 Silverado this year and Ford announced we will probably see hybrid V8's in the next Raptor.

Stellantis...crickets...and stuck on Gen III Hemi's

All thanks to Tavares, Timmy still has an awful lot of work to do to catch back up after that euro-weenie fraud attempted to destroy the American brands in the Stellantis umbrella.

True but Ford and Chevy have race engines in Indy and other applications. (only my opinion) but would allow them to trickle down that tech into street cars for much less money. Stellantis was struggling like hell and being hit up with huge fines for each HC motor the built.
