Want to buy Base model

If I could justify a second TRX it would be a base for sure. I didn’t like the red interior at first but it’s grown on me (a little) and the scarcity aspect is cool. I’d still install the factory carbon fiber interior trim, adaptive cruise, camera mirror and HK audio. Just to spice it up a bit while still keeping the theme of a “basic” truck, and not adding any weight with useless stuff.

Adaptive Cruise is why I didn’t order the base model TRX. Had I known how easy the install process was, I could have saved myself some cash. Not sure about the red interior, but I know I’d prefer cloth style seats over leather.

Very interesting that it can be added so easily. Im just not a fan of much of any of the techie type options. My 2023 Raptor drives me crazy with all of the warnings/beeps/messages.

Another thing to consider(not everybody realizes this) is that a level zero does not have heated seats and steering wheel.
A heated steering wheel is the only option that I would want but at least it has remote start.

You can buy aftermarket steering wheels with the heating function installed. If ACC can be added via AlphaOBD, then maybe you could do the same for the heated steering wheel. I have no experience with AlphaOBD so maybe someone else could chime in to confirm.
Unfortunately oem heated seats and steering wheel functions can't just be turned on with AlfaOBD. The wiring from the BCM to the seats is not there.

I found a 2023 base model at Suburban Ford of Troy but it has a weird Carfax. It shows that it had 1500 miles before being offered for sale. Then it made its way from Arizona to Michigan and now has around 6,000 miles. Looks to be in great condition, however. But $89g for a base seems high to me.

Unfortunately msrp jumped drastically in 3 years. I believe it was about 85 grand for 23’s. Were there any added options? However I agree that if it is listed as a used truck the price seems high.

Yeah I know the prices skyrocketed over the years. I believe the window sticker shows the tow package which I don’t want but when you’re searching for a base model unicorn its slim pickings.

Looking for a base model, new or used in black or silver. If used it has to be low miles, one owner. Let me know what you have or happen across. Thanks!
I have a 21 black base 10,500 miles original owner will sell it this winter. Tow package and remote start are only options. I added the hard trifold toneau cover and a rubber bed mat. I’m in Washington state.

True. The fact that it is a 23 would give you longer warranty but if it’s listed at more than msrp for used that is crazy at this point.

Sounds perfect the only downside is that is a hell of haul for me. Im in WV.

Just spoke to one of the salespeople. I may trade in the Raptor if everything checks out.

That truck was sold to (and shipped to) Iowa from the factory. So it’s moved around a fair bit.
Original MSRP being $87,635 - they’re asking for $1400 over. Kinda high.

Yikes. The carfax is definitely wonky. I won’t pay anywhere near what they are asking.
Thanks again for all that you do on this forum!

My search is over. Found a black 2022 level 1 with less than 4,000 miles. They are giving me a solid price for my Raptor on trade. The TRX already has tints, side steps, and a hard tonneau cover.
