VIN “811 & 812” April Order Group

Cant speak for him, but I got into emailing with Ram by pestering chat repeatedly to the point of getting “escalated”. A lot of what you get depends on the person you’re speaking to. You can get 5 different answers from 5 different people.
Basically that’s how mine got escalated as well. I said I was frustrated/disappointed with the wait time, and then got set up with the Ram Truck Information Center. Not sure what I did really pushed things along? All I know is my truck is built and being shipped as we speak!

Congrats!

Jeff emailed me today with the same message he sent @Boosted …but I’m not wasting any more time with that crap. Or chat for that matter. I’ll just be a pain in the ass with the dealer.

As an obvious side note. after contacting Ram customer servive exactly zero times, mine's about three weeks ahead of yours.
I have another example of how "escalated" cases means nothing, or possibly even less, but that's a different story for a different time.

At least that means Jeff is alive and well. I haven't heard from El Jefe in quite awhile. And I was starting to worry that he may have injured himself in the mill while hand forging the parts for my truck.

FYI - Contacted FCA through chat today and they 'said' that SHAP would be shut down the next 3 weeks (this week and the next two).

I know that's not worth much, but thought that was interesting that they shared that.

Jeff just said the two weeks. Better not be three.

“Stellantis continues to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry. Due to the unprecedented global microchip shortage, production at the Sterling Heights (Mich.) Assembly Plant will be down the week of July 12. The Sterling Heights Assembly Plant will take a previously scheduled down week the week of July 19 to perform general maintenance.

I will be following up with you for your order updates as soon as there are additional updates to share on your order.”

Their statements seemed to be canned. I got the same thing on chat but* the rep also included the week of July 26. As annoyed as I am, I do find some humor in the internal chaos that's evident.

The agent also ensured me that they would send a follow up email to Jeff. Jeff had previously emailed me and told me I had a 7/12 build date. Which didn't happen.

Yeah, this was supposed to be my build week too according to Mr. Jeff. 🙄

Fellow 811/812 vin brothers and sisters, with a heavy heart I opted to tap out today. I called my dealer and cancelled my order. I spotted an X5M Comp on the lot at a local dealer that I could not say no to. I wish you all the best and I hope you receive your trucks sooner rather than later. Perhaps some day in the future I’ll be among your ranks again.

I wake up, tell myself I don’t care about getting my truck, I’ll get it when it comes in. My attitude changes by the end of the day, but really I ain’t gonna bitch about it. I’m lucky I can afford one. Also lucky that Jeff will personally build mine to my specifications.

Woo hoo, Finally made it back to D1!
I've been D1 for almost a month now. My build date was supposed to be 7/12. Sounds like now with the shutdown it will probably be early August... maybe. When I contacted my dealer they claimed they hadn't heard anything about a shutdown. Sure would be nice if they would communicate something to us.

My dealer is still adamant I’ll see it mid-August. I might see a TRX by mid-August, but probably not the one I ordered. If I find a silver one within 100 miles that’s similar in equipment, I’m out.

Just got a call from the dealer today that I went D1 and they would have heard about a shutdown if it were true.

honestly don’t know what to believe anymore

811530 Dealership is telling me mid August on the build.

I know generally speaking nobody seems to know what’s going on, but the shutdown is 100% real.

Don’t have to take Chrysler’s word because there have been zero build sheets this week, and the only window stickers coming up in @tripleB scans are trucks that were already built by last week.

My dealer said they hadn't heard of a shut down.
