The turbos and exhaust manifold is cast into the head. Crazy, I can imagine a customer brings his truck in for a bad turbo and being told he needs a new turbo. I can't imagine the cost. Can you?

Why is there even a subsection on here for the Remove Hellcat Option?? Go converse about these pissant trucks over on the RHO forum.
Cool. Nobody here cares![]()
JB4 Tuner for 2022+ Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer 3.0L Twin Turbo
Power gains of up to 104hp to the wheels on a stock Jeep Grand Wagoneer! The JB4 is the most advanced and highly featured tuning system for your Jeep Grand Wagoneer Turbo.burgertuning.com
I found this.
A simple $600 tune to make almost 600whp.
RHO could be a potent truck.
That is the awesome part of turbos, no hardware changes and big power gains. I have been looking at jb4 or BM3 for my F90 and it’s crazy to add that much power with the push of button.![]()

I had a JB4 on my 2018 and 2022 Raptors and it is a noticeable improvement over the stock Ecoboost HOThat is the awesome part of turbos, no hardware changes and big power gains. I have been looking at jb4 or BM3 for my F90 and it’s crazy to add that much power with the push of button.
We have had two turbo 6 trucks and had no complaints. The V8 in the f150 is there to simply fill a void, the engine is being outperformed (and highly outsold) by both turbo and hybrid V6 powerplants. I am not sure of the numbers now but back in 2017 the v8 accounted for 25% of sales, gut tells me that number is much smaller now. Obviously I love a nice V8, but for regular truck stuff I would opt for a turbo 6 because it is more capable and more efficient. With Dodge going all electric, Jeep going all electric (last I heard), and the TRX becoming a RHO....twin turbo inline six.....I don't see how Stellantis will not loose significant sales in the US. It seems to me that Stellantis has completely overlooked their base of MOPAR customers. A lot of people are switching to Ford, being they are not forgetting their base, they stated they will continue to have a V8 and have forced induction. I am sure there are a variety of opinion's on this.....but I am not for electric nor 6 cylinder engine in in a full size truck.
Not what this says
Doesn't appear its a one piece design. Turbo can be replaced and serviced without purchasing new heads or manifold.
Personally I have ZERO interesting in going from a SC V8 to a twin turbo 6 cylinder. As to your point on twin turbo and hybrids outselling.....pickup sales in general have been up across the board....from 1/2 ton to HD's and Ford is the number one selling truck in America. The fact sales are up I find remarkable.....given the current interest rates. We have had two turbo 6 trucks and had no complaints. If Ford was producing a V8 that could compete with the turbo offerings that would be different, but it isn't the V8 is crazy outperformed
5.0 400/410
3.5 400/500
3.5 Hybrid 430/570
If we take a look at other manufacturers who did similar moves. BMW went away from V8's in the M3/M4 platform and moved to a turbo 6. Same style of anger happened over there. "BMW will lose to AMG now that they killed the V8 in the M3" It didn't though, its a great platform that has since been embraced and people love.
The 5.2 SC is extremely low volume. Not exactly comparable to how mass produced the hellcat was.Personally I have ZERO interesting in going from a SC V8 to a twin turbo 6 cylinder. As far as Ford, I was referring to the SC engine in the the GT-500 and the Raptor R. Ford also has a massive V8 (Godzilla) however the numbers are not that impressive. A twin turbo 6 cylinder in no way outperforms a SC V8. It also sounds like lawnmower. Are you possibly are from the concrete village? I live in a rural area....electric....hybrid.....6 cylinder turbo....are not big sellers. Diesels and V8's are the big sellers in this area. ALTHOUGH many rushed out to buy the new Tundra and most are trading them back in. The Toyota lots (here) have an abundance of Tundras that are not moving. Another aspect, as soon as a lift is put on a truck with a twin turbo 6 cylinder, the fuel economy is often worse than what I get in the TRX. Awesome, 200 less horsepower and horrible fuel economy.
Europe does do well will electric, hybrids and 6 cylinder turbos.....especially in cars. I could be wrong, but I do look for sales in the US to decline for RAM, Dodge and Jeep. I could not imagine taking an all electric Jeep off roading or on an overland adventure. Ford cut back production of the Lighting by 50% because its not selling. The Mock E Mustang...does anyone own that? The electric HUMV, huge flop. Americans in general do not want electric.....well I should say those of us in the rural areas and suburbs.....from what I know anyway.
I know quite a few people with a TRX and from what they have told me, they have no interest in the RHO. We have talked about going to the Raptor R...however the mark up on those....is well....ridiculous. I recently found out that the final edition TRX has a hefty markup as well.
Lastly....what screams American muscle more than the growl of the V8 and the whine of the supercharger. Music to my ears.
the motor on our raptor had to have the cam phaser replaced twice, allegedly this issue has been worked out but I can definitely attest to that issue that the 3.5 engine has. But the cam phaser issue isn’t inherent to turbo or V6 just a huge design flaw on fords part.I have another buddy that works at Ford and he said the amount of Raptor trucks they get in with engine issues (TT 6 cylinder) is remarkable. Again...I have not seen the numbers...just something I was told.

Garbage collection heap; if we didn't have this section the RHO stuff would be leaking all over the forum. Why is there even a subsection on here for the Remove Hellcat Option?? Go converse about these pissant trucks over on the RHO forum.
Its easy for the Ecoboost V6 to outsell the V8 when the V8 is limited to what it can be used in.We have had two turbo 6 trucks and had no complaints. The FP kits are great options if wanting to keep warranty, had a few come through the dealer when I worked there. Its easy for the Ecoboost V6 to outsell the V8 when the V8 is limited to what it can be used in.
But Ford does offer this
Whipple kit for the F150. And I think they warranty it if a dealer does the install. I know a few Ford dealers have offered this in the past. TRX HP for half the price.
That patent shows the turbine and exhaust housing cast with the cylinder head. The abstract states it right out the gate. The compressor housing and guts can be removed but turbine housing and manifold are integral.
Doesn't appear its a one piece design. Turbo can be replaced and serviced without purchasing new heads or manifold.
