Looks Amazing!
How did you do the RAM sign? Love it!!!Well, I just finished up wrapping my black TRX in 3M Matte Dark Grey vinyl. I also added the following small touches:
Let me know what you guys think!
- Wrapped stock beauty rings on the wheels in matte black and changed to black lug nuts
- Wrapped front grille "RAM" emblem in matte red
- Wrapped Edges of "RAM" on tailgate in matte red
- Painted edges of "TRX" and "4x4" red (and just noticed I must have been wearing one shoe because both are crooked, so I get to re-mount those)
- Distress flag underlay on tailgate
- Tinted corner lights on mirrors
- Tinted corner deflector and cut out a "TRX" logo there
- Added "Demon Eyes" from Oracle Lighting
- Retrax MX Tonneau Cover (VERY minimal modification needed to clear bolts on top of Rambar. Just needed to notch out spots for bolt heads with a Dremmel.)

Great job came out nice! Glad to see everyone making the trucks there own way
Okay, full disclosure, the RAM’s are “far good” (good from far but far from goodAwesome!
Can you do a close up of how you wrapped the letters? Front and tailgate
I bought the truck with the Rambar. I did have to notch out the rails on the cover a tiny bit. Very minimal. The closeup pic above shows what I had to do.Looks very nice. Did you add the Ram Bar or did your truck come with it? I’m thinking about that bed cover you have but saw someone say they thought it may not work with the factory installed bar because the bolts are on top. Did you have to modify it?
Yes. It sucked big time! The 4x4 wasn’t terrible as the letters are flat. But the TRX was a pain. How'd you paint the TRX and 4x4 emblems? Just spend a lot of time tapping with an x-acto knife?
Hi, I have a few questions, if you don't mind.Retrax MX Tonneau Cover
Also, can you send me the link to the specific demon eyes light kit that you found for your TRX? I'd like to study them a little.Added "Demon Eyes" from Oracle Lighting
Okay the MX sits on top of the rails and clamps to the inside of the vertical rail. Here's good video they have on youtube showing install:Hi, I have a few questions, if you don't mind.
- Did the horizontal rambar bolts interfere With either of the tracks/rails?
- Seeing as the tracks/rails rest on the bedrails of the truck, there obviously has to be a gap where the rambar begins, as the tracks would be slightly elevated as they transition from the bedrail onto the rambar.
How does that gap appear when looking at it from the side? Do you have a pic?
- The tracks are obviously pushed closer together where they pass over the vertical section of the rambar.
Does that cause a pinch/bind against the panels, as you open and close them?
BTW - Nice Truck!
Also, can you send me the link to the specific demon eyes light kit that you found for your TRX? I'd like to study them a little.
I went to the Oracle website, but I didn't see them for the TRX. TY
Love the flag. Looks the the A-Team van.Well, I just finished up wrapping my black TRX in 3M Matte Dark Grey vinyl. I also added the following small touches:

Did you have to use a heat gun to separate the housing? And what controller did you end up going with? TY![]()

That is the kit I used. You have to purchase two sets, as the kit only comes with 2 LED's.
Thanks for the info. If I decide to go with this cover, I have a roll of black, 1/8" rubber, which I'll be able to place over the Bedrails and butt against the edge of the rambar, which should be enough to fill the gab and create a seal.Okay the MX sits on top of the rails and clamps to the inside of the vertical rail. Now as far as modifications:
The truck bed is actually wider than the cover, so it clears that side bolt with no problem. There are adjustment screws that actually space the cover off of the rail. View attachment 6089
On top, the cover is just a little too wide to clear the top bolts of the Rambar, so I had to use a Dremmel to notch out spaces for those bolts:

Finally, there is a slight step-down from the base of the Rambar to the bed rail, so the weather stripping on the cover may leave a little opening for water. I just used come black caulk to close that up:

I also caulked around the entire base of the Rambar to try to keep any water out. Hope this helps out.
