Tri State TRX (NY,NJ,CT)

Ya im down for a off road ride. i guess little harder in the winter now.

it may of been me, im all over the map with all the projects we have around NJ now.
I’m in for an NJ ride. I’m in Monmouth County, NJ. Pine Barrens is a good option, but far for North Jersey guys.

I’m in for a little offroading too. I used to go to the pine barrens with some jeep buddies. There were stories and pictures of people boobytrapping the trails down there. Any idea if that’s still going on?

Edit to say: in when my truck shows up, hopefully within the next month. In JB now.

@Zucco22 I really don't know of any area to off road or logging trails. So I'm down for pine barrens. Isn't there a trail that goes behind 6 flags? is that wide and open?

My buddy goes down there. I’ll find out and come back to you. I haven’t been with my TRX yet.

I have been doing some light research and it looks like REED road is the one behind six flags. I believe it is fairly wide.

Also I think there is a wide road that takes you in behind manchester High school. Look them up on google maps. I am certainty not trying to scratch up my 90k truck. In the next few weeks I may do a recon trip and check it out.

East Haddam CT. Truck was in Trim stage in Friday. Ordered 10/30 so I can’t complain too much.

Both those areas are in my immediate area. I will take a trip out to both this week to take a look and report back.

I use to consistently visit the area behind Manchester High School in my younger years. We use to call it Blue Lake and later Sarco's.

We called it Blue Lake because the company digging out there for paint die hit an underground water source and when it filled up the pit the water was bright blue.

We called it Sacro's because later that was the company that took the area over.

Lots of wide open trials there back in the day but from what I understand a lot of that area has been developed and a lot of the access roads we use to use have been closed up.
I use to visit there back in the early 90's so a lot must have changed? I'll try and find out.

These days I'm mostly a Beach Buggy guy and Frequently Visit a State Park and some of the local beaches that are in my backyard to Fish, Surf and Chill with my Family and Friends. It's Jersey's best kept secret! I normally wouldn't post about it but it requires a beach buggy permit to drive on the Beach and now of days is limited and they sell out in the first 2 weeks of January. Sorry guys. I believe you can still purchase a weekend pass though? No extreme four wheeling out there but some of the best views and natural beach nature. This time of year we get to see Snow Owl. Beautiful creature.

There is Clayton Pits out in Jackson/Lakehurst as well but I believe they are heavily patrolled these days?

Any LI people looking for a TRX, Huntington Ford has one that isnt on the site yet. Someone traded it in for what i assume was a raptor. Not gonna lie, I was going to test drive the raptor but it was gone before I could even get to the dealer.

Let us know what you find out. This is the reason why im really thinking of wrapping my truck. Not that stops it 100% LOL but its better then nothing.

I was last out there prob 7/8 years ago on my quad and it wasn't developed at all. Unless there are some parts i don't know of. They are all patrolled more often now, but probably not that crazy this time of year. I will try to get back there in the next month or so, just a little crazy with work. If you get out there let us know.

On an ATV or UTv i think you can come from sarco all the way to jackson via the trails! maybe someone can confirm this, but this is what i have heard

Anyone here in the Black TRX at the 7-11 in Medford corner of 112 and Horseblock today? I was in the yellow Rumble Bee truck.

I'm picking up my TRX from PA tomorrow. For those of you who picked your truck up from PA, what's the DMV process when you bring it back to NY. I apologize in advance if this was asked before.

I am pretty sure you need the bill of sale and MCO from the dealer. You will need the registration form, proof of insurance, drivers license, and the money.

Get an invoice like this made and give it to your salesman and have him submit to his department that handles the dmv paperwork and you should be all good‼️ You can do as others and wait for the title and do it yourself ‼️ Some people needed the the invoice and some didn't depending on who you get at the counter at DMV‼️

thank you.

thank you.
Are you picking it up from Chapman. If yes they are going to register your truck as commercial I tried sending them everything and I still ended up with commercial plates in NY. But not to worry just go to the DMV your self and fill out some paper they will give you to re-register the truck with additional modifications section you would have to fill out. Pm me if you like.
