Tonneau Covers?

I went with the Retrax Pro on my 19 Ram, moved it to my TRX. Completely happy with it, very little water gets in.

For those that plan on getting a tonneau cover for the TRX, what brand/model are you going with?
I’ve got a Retraxpro MX Tonnean. I’m happy with it, it’s heavy duty, you can actually stand on top of it which I’ve not done but 220 pounds might be a mistake super well-built and it’s about $2200 plus install although there are a lot of sites that sell these things and you could probably get it at a better price with a little research.

Thought about getting the motorized one, but it just seems a little silly to me and not worth the money.

My only critique is the cover doesn’t have a way to lock it in the open position, so if you’ve got something in the bed of your truck and you’ve got the cover all the way open, it can slide back-and-forth and I haven’t figured out a way to lock it in the close position. I just carry a heavy duty spring clamp And put it in front of the cover on. There were times that I do have to leave it open.

I would love something super clean, that does not raise above the top, super flush. Prefer not to spend more than $1500. Only reason I am getting a cover is to keep the water out.

Like the look of "ausei's" cover, which one is it?

Or the Sentry CT which is very similar: https://justboltons.com/truxedo-sen...thout-ram-box-multifunction-tailgate-1585916/

We also have the BAK X4s instock: https://justboltons.com/bak-revolve...trx-new-body-style-w-o-ram-box-5-7-bed-80227/

I know the Back X4S had a bad run: not sure if those issues have been resolved.

I did see they have the X4ST which checks a whole lot of boxes for me....

Yeah that will be a nice upgrade. Not in-stock anywhere yet. They do sell the rails for anyone with a regular X4s to upgrade to the T-Slot setup.

I've seen the rails: I just think it's too clunky.

Any word on if the Sentry will have a similar integrated t-slot system?
I believe so, not yet out though. I have the Sentry CT on mine and would be upgrading to the t-slot rails as they would def come in handy.

Thats another good work around! Sadly those rails won't clear the Ram Bar. Hoping they come out with a slim style like Retrax has.

Looking to replace my retrax to save a bit on weight and reclaim some bed space, I've got yakima basepads and bars with a few attachments (bikes, snowboard, box etc). Do you know of a softcover or 'flip' style with T-slot rails that is a drop-in replacement for the retrax t-slot? Bakflip? Truxedo?

Hey!

This is probably your best option: https://justboltons.com/bak-revolve...-w-o-ram-box-rebel-2021-2024-ram-trx-80227rk/

I've had a ton of guys ditch their retractable covers lately for that as it's a huge bed saver and lightweight. However, no confirmation if you can use your existing Retrax rails. Most just opt to use the entire BAK X4TS Cover & Rails as it has built in t-slots

Yea I assume I'll need new rails, just trying not to replace all of the stuff that hooks up to them.

I can't believe how popular the retrax is given how much space it takes up. Mistakes were made lol.

Totally get that. Worst case scenario, you can transfer all that from your existing T-Slot Rails to these new ones.
