Or you could just do the 2.85 upper instead of both the upper and lower. Same blower speed and less cost.
I think some folks really don’t get the concept here that Graingers package is clearly aimed at a specific power threshold. For the exact same cost as their package they could have done a 2.85 upper instead of 3.17. Would yield about 820hp instead of 787hp. Other mods would not need to change. So why did they choose the 3.17? Because that’s where they felt comfortable placing a warranty on the powertrain.
Another thing as far as cost goes… their parts list is roughly $2500. Fair price for tune including unlock of PCM/TCM is $1500. Which means you are paying roughly $3k for install and a powertrain warranty. It’s not a bad price. Do I think it is worth it? No. But that’s only because you get a lot more performance for the same price but no warranty. For all the folks out there that want to keep warranty at all costs it will be a good deal.
