Will this new updated Tazer DT still be compatible with the 2021 model year or 22/23 specific? Also quick question can you turn off the horn honking while locking the truck in the vehicles factory settings or is it a Tazer only thing? Reason I ask is the truck I just bought 3 weeks ago doesn't honk when I lock my truck, should I look to see if the previous owner installed a Tazer DT already??

Yes, the update is for all years. The horn honking when locking is a standard uconnect feature found in the settings menu.

That's what I figured, thanks for the confirmation. I did look under the dash anyway and no Tazer there. I'm interested in one when you release the updated ones after SEMA.

My 23 is on order so I hope by the time it arrives we have the new firmware well tested and there are new deals on Tazer.

It would be nice if Z Automotive have an app that can do the menu selection of the live and other options of the Tazer DT connected via bluetooth if such hardware do exists on the tazer!

Ok, some news for all of you waiting to hear about the update… flashers with amber DRL’s-FIXED! Wipers on causing DRL’s to flash - FIXED! ‘22 and uConnect5 comparability - final testing stage but safe to say FIXED!

New feature that everyone will love - final testing phase and minor tweaks made. This is going to be a game changer!

Bambi and I are sitting in Benihanas’ in the hotel having a snack and a few cold ones…. Hope he likes sushi.
