Admittedly my soldering skills are terrible. I plan on using crimp terminals to connect to the toggle switch, anything wrong with that move?

These are so you can add a kill switch without cutting your factory harness to the start/stop button (see post#1 in this thread) and place the switch wherever you may desire. What are these for?
Thanks but why would you want to do that? These are so you can add a kill switch without cutting your factory harness to the start/stop button (see post#1 in this thread) and place the switch wherever you may desire.
Makes the truck a little harder to steal. Thanks but why would you want to do that?
It’s supposed to be like Igla?
It's a cheap, easy, self installed form of theft deterrent that makes it more difficult for thieves to steal your truck. I wouldn't compare it to an IGLA system myself as it's not a true alarm system like IGLA.
No IGLA is a can bus immobilizer. This is a physical kill switch for the on/off/start buttonIt’s supposed to be like Igla?
You must not be familiar with how ridiculously quick/easy thieves have been stealing these trucks…Thanks but why would you want to do that?
i wasn't sure of the purpose but I have been enlightened..I can see how this would deter a newbie car thief or make them take long enough for one of us to grab a weapon of our choice..but if someone knew what they were doing couldnt they just unplug the harness once they realize there is a kill switch in the car?You must not be familiar with how ridiculously quick/easy thieves have been stealing these trucks…
Sure. But figuring out where the kill switch is located and then bypassing it takes precious minutes. Car thieves likely don’t want to hang out long enough to diagnose/fix the issue.i wasn't sure of the purpose but I have been enlightened..I can see how this would deter a newbie car thief or make them take long enough for one of us to grab a weapon of our choice..but if someone knew what they were doing couldnt they just unplug the harness once they realize there is a kill switch in the car?
It is also not immediately obvious there is a kill switch, or what is 'killed'. You could make a kill switch for lots of different things. Fuel pump, starter, on/off button, shifter, etc. Nothing is going to give you a 100% protection, but the harder you make it...i wasn't sure of the purpose but I have been enlightened..I can see how this would deter a newbie car thief or make them take long enough for one of us to grab a weapon of our choice..but if someone knew what they were doing couldnt they just unplug the harness once they realize there is a kill switch in the car?
Exactly. If an experienced thief knows where IGLA is hooked up they can go after it too. Anything can be figured out but an extra step is more time a thief is exposedIt is also not immediately obvious there is a kill switch, or what is 'killed'. I received mine and it work great. Never tell anyone where the kill switch is??Thank You, I really did not expect to make that many of them, I'm happy that I can contribute to the community.
Yes I'm a big fan of not telling anyone where the kill switch isI received mine and it work great. Never tell anyone where the kill switch is??
Thanks again Paul
