Shortage on Parts

I work at Subaru in Indiana. We’ve been dealing with parts shortages since we shut down for covid last March. They project daily numbers, but it seems by last break, they have adjusted numbers due to low parts inventory. They canceled Saturday production from October 2020 until March 2021 for parts shortage. Everyday is a struggle to run the lines due to covid exposures. If you are exposed, you’re automatically off 10 days. I’m in maintenance, and tested positive January 1. I don’t go back until January 25. There are a lot of people out at one time due to exposure. Then, it’s at least 10 days. Hard to build cars like this, but we manage. With delays.
Hopefully you are feeling better and on the road to recovery!!

I mean is it really this bad they getting people into base models now? This was a white TR1 dealer stock order not converted to a customer order.

I was torn between a black base and a hydro blue tr1 (the blue would have been base but they said no blue paint unless tr1).
I think I would switch to a black base if it mean getting a truck this year.
But my dealer never seems to know anything.

Thats what everyone said 10 years ago too
20 years ago
I was all set to go to Houston and learn to build race engines at a school down there and thought peak oil/death of the camaro etc that it was only a few years away that the performance game would be over. Ended up staying home and getting a degree years later.

Oops. I don't fully regret that decision but I do regret it.

I'm hoping RAM is smart enough to prioritize parts for all roughly 3,000 builds that were in the first round of allocations before

I'll be on board buying and driving an EV when they develop and implement solid state batteries that are cheaper lighter and can get an 80% charge in 5-10 minutes (the technology already exists small scale they are just trying to figure out how to mass produce it Toyota I think is the closest)

AND the majority of our electricity is generated by NUCLEAR power plants which is by far the cleanest and safest (as measured by deaths per kilowatt hour produced) way to produce energy known to man

Until then I will be driving and fixing my TRX (if I ever get it) for at least the next 25-30 years so long as they still sell gasoline and replacement parts...

I am. Thank you. It got to my lungs but we were monitoring my vitals very close. Once they dropped too low, it was to the ER. About 5 days in hospital for monitoring. Then home with hospital from home care. Still a little sluggish but ready to get back at it. Thank you.

again I said I wouldn't buy an EV unless they use solid state batteries AND the majority of power comes from nuclear.......I agree no point in buying an EV to be "greener" when the majority of electricity is generated by fossil fuels

I plan on doing a small solar system for whatever ev I buy.
so then high hp trx
Cybertruck
And a cooking grease diesel puller.

check mate

We need to get and enjoy the big HP dino-juice guzzlers while we can. Just read about the latest plan for the Mustang:

Ford is planning on introducing an all-electric Mustang in 2028 to replace the gasoline-powered version, as well as a new Ontario-built electric Lincoln Corsair, if new reports can be believed.
According to AutoForecast Solutions, by 2028 the Mustang will be a fully electric sports car, and there won’t be a gasoline-powered version sold alongside it.
The next-generation Mustang has been significantly delayed due to problems adapting it to the CD6 platform that underpins the Explorer and the Lincoln Aviator, meaning we won’t be seeing a new gen of the vehicle until at least 2026.

Not only that the destruction of habitat is horrible when you mine for lithium! There is nothing on this planet that is as energy dense as a barrel of oil! This electric revolution is going to do little less then make a few people very rich (Al Gore), but as far as "saving the planet" or "saving the human species" its a load of horse shit! Sure driving really fast golfcarts is fun and I've said it before there's definitely a market for them but the "environmental foot print" is pre-built into the car.
Libtards aren't capable of deep thought. You must be racist.
