Rocker/Lower Door Protection

Looks good. I'd be interested to see what it looks like on the TRX when you do it. I like the idea of a smooth finish on the rockers, but totally get that there's not much out there tougher than spray on bedliner. You planning on coating the fender flares, etc... on the TRX as well? Any issues with coating plastic and cracking/chipping, etc..?
I had zero issues with the Line-X on the Power Wagon regarding the plastics. That stuff is solid!

I plan on doing the following with the TRX:
-Rocker Panel
-Rock Sliders
-Front/Rear Bumper
-Front Skid Plate
-Fender Flares

As a keystone dealer, I also have access to these, they appear to be some plastic that covers the lower part of the doors. Unfortunately this is the only pic I can get of them and there is no public website. I've been told these are in ebay as well. The price is also in Maple Syrup Currency.

Interesting… I’m assuming it’s just a 3M tape install?

I had xpel full rockers and entire bedsides done but I am still taking a beating on the leading edge of the bedside even with rokblokz flaps installed. It's tearing right through the ppf. I will probably have to ditch the power steps and get the off road boards to better protect the sides of the truck.
Surprising but not really surprising. I did my rear fenders in PPF as well because of my experience with an '02 GMC Sierra with Quadrasteer that had similar style flared fenders as the TRX. The GMC was all nicked up though the paint in the area of the gas cap, I mean it was pretty f-ed up.
Sorry to hear that PPF isn't holding up as we expected. Do you drive a lot of gravel roads? This whole thing has me intrigued.

I’m torn on doing amp boards and ppf rockers/bedside or just doing Go rhino rb20’s and ppf on front of bedside. I’m running Toyo MT so they won’t throw rocks as bad as stock tire, but run -12 offset wheel.

Yeah, I'm going +3 offset. The combo of flaps plus XLs with some Ultimate 10 on the rear fenders should work well. That's a thicker version if normal PPF from Xpel. It's meant for trucks and heavier duty applications.

I just find regular bars not all that helpful to me. I'm tall, so I need something that drops down.

Had ultimate 10 put my 392 wrangler. And stones tore it up .And looks like shit .Didn’t heal up..Wasn’t impressed with it

Dammit. That was mainly from offroad or just normal driving?

Did it at least protect the paint? It has a 10 year warranty. As long as it keeps damage to zero they'll just replace it.

What about Xpel Armor? I mean, damn. Looks like they can put this right on that lower fender where it gets peppered. That seems to be the worst place for chips. I would go clear everywhere else.

Normal driving..Eat my rear fender flares up.And it went thru paint.Even if they warranty it.You have to pay to get areas ceramic coated again. And there warranty is from defects not use. They replaced it once. And pretty much said nextime it’s on me.That’s why when my trx comes I’m putting mud flaps on it

I'm definitely adding flaps and keeping offset to +3. I've seen a video on TRX and Weathertech flaps, one side with and one without. They seems to really knock down what made it back to the rear fenders.

The XL steps stick out just a bit too. I'm thinking a combo flaps, steps, and PPF will do. The Armor looks like pieces of bedliner. I'm going to ask about it.

And if it didn't heal I'd consider that a defect.

Anyone us Armor PPF?

Only thing with armor can’t go on anything with a bend.I’m going with rokblokz or rally armor flaps.Ran both on my raptors and they worked great. And if it’s doesn’t heal. They say big impact Atleast it help save your paint. But I had some damaged paint .And once you reply new ppf over chips .Even if you fill them .It looks like shit. They stick out under it big time .I order the factory steps on mine .Hope the help some

Same on my Rubicon. Every rock that hit it left a mark in it that didn’t heal. Even few spots it just tore it. That was 20-25 mph trail riding
