Ram TRX returns Q1 2026

Is it the release of the Dakota? Maybe a hurricane version as base and then a 5.7 or 6.4 as the premium option? A 400-500 hp Dakota would be sweet and beat out the ranger raptor with the v6 twin turbo (405hp).
The quote from one of the teasers was “ one built to outrun hell one built to tow it” so it could be 2 or multiple vehicles being released announced etc…

Maybe bringing back the srt10? Not sure it will be a v10 but maybe an 8…? Not an off-road truck so the sand in the teasers kind of throws that idea out the window but… who knows. We are usually underwhelmed by these releases but we will see in a few hours.

It was in the description of one of the YouTube teaser videos

Hmm interesting.... Final Prediction - 3 Trucks

1. TRX return w same 6.2 motor but with dealer installed performance packages you can add. Pulleys/tunes and so on.

2. Mid size truck - Dakota w 392 motor available

3. HD Truck with Helephant

lets gooooooooooooo

Could very well be a 392/6.4 rebel. One of the leaks did confirm a 6.4 in a 1500. I think that would be an awesome package if it’s priced right. So possibly trx and 6.4 rebel?? The Dakota 6.4 seems like a stretch to me but would be pleasantly surprised

Well, I just ran a scan for a 6.4 Rebel configuration and it didn't turn up any build sheets (i.e., pilot vehicles). But it is entirely possible that they would be building those (if they exist) in Mexico at the Saltillo plant. That's where all of the HD trucks (with the 6.4 engine) are assembled. And they've also recently been building 1500 DT trucks there. So it would stand to logic that they would build them there. Again, if that's what the other surprise is.

Just talked to the GM of my dealership. His Rep wouldn't give him exact numbers, but hinted at the Redeye engine being in the truck. Not sure, though. he said they are always really dodgy when it comes to new releases and releasing information before the final reveal. He did say it's the return of the TRX, though. Said I can order either Friday or they may not open it till Monday. Either way, if there's a significant power upgrade, I'm pumped!

Here what AI says as of today 12/31/25:

The 2026 Ram TRX is set to return with its signature supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 engine, expected to deliver around 720+ horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, beating the Ford Raptor R, featuring advanced Bilstein shocks, enhanced cooling, wider stance, and aggressive styling with 35-inch tires for extreme off-road capability, aiming for 0-60 mph in about 4.5 seconds and towing up to 8,100 lbs.

That would make sense if that is the case.

Redeye engine would make the most sense and would be easiest for RAM but I don't think we'll see anything different than the same TRX that went away.

Remember RAM/Dodge loves to dissapoint at announcements.

Last time I checked this thread some here were hoping to get a Demon 170 TRX and we ended up with the news that RAM was returning to NASCAR...

Possibly a 392 Dakota and a Power Wagon with a Cummins?
