RAM TRX Photo thread

I wish Ram stayed with the concept rear bumper with the red tow hooks coming out of the bumper and gas cap cover. I wish the tow hooks were red on the front and rear of current TRX. Easy fix, I will be removing them and powder coating them. I like some of the race inspired gas caps on the Challenger. Maybe Ram will come out with one similar.
the gas cap and the rear bumper look awesome on the concept!!!!

i hope some company will make it as a mod

That is one of the questions that lingers, along with price. I hope they do make it an option, but if I had to guess, I would guess no because the TRX is already low volume/niche as it is and because of the wider track and flared fenders it does not use the standard rear fenders from the 1500. Will they go the extra expense to make the Rambox available on the TRX? Probably not. I strongly hope I am wrong about that as I would pay a *lot* more for that option, especially on a TRX which would have even more space due to the larger fender. It comes down to business. Will they make the money back for the extra expense?
We’ll know soon, I suspect.
Another question is, will it be available after the first year? It could be a feature that gets added to later models if it isn’t available the first year.
I’m guessing they did not offer it due to weight and the TRX box is a modified version of the 1500 box. I suspect they may offer it at some point or at least I hope they do. I think the TRX is nose heavy from all the jump videos I have seen. I think the back needs more weight to smooth out the jumps instead of nose diving.

I like the concept TRX better than the actual TRX that was sitting in my driveway for a few months.

Do you know what that tire rack is in the bed?
Custom I suppose. I did see a non-TRX Rebel sporting one a couple years ago from a dealer photo, but I believe that was a custom fabrication as well.

I like the shape of the concept hood better, but prefer the production grille.

Interesting that they used King shocks for the pre-production model but went with Bilstein for the final product. I wonder if King could not commit to the production requirements RAM required or if it was something else?

Just stumbled on this thread, good timing. Does anyone know what happened with this particular pre-production TRX? About a week ago, I actually saw it driving down the road near home and I wondered about it. I'm also not sure if there was more than one produced either, so it could have been a different one if more than one was produced.

Yeah it's likely due to production capacity. King is much smaller than Fox or Bilstein and they'd have to grow massively to keep up.
